Have you checked with jmx-console that there is such object in jndi table?
Hey,

How have you configured your initial context?
JNDI lookup also depends on which application server you are using.
Hi,

Have you added all needed jar files to WEB-INF/lib folder. I think that RichFaces uses following utility jars:
commons-beanutils.jar, commons-collections.jar, commons-digester.jar, commons-logging.jar

Hi,

I'm trying to look up ejb remotely. I got it working wrom standalone java application but if I want to make remote lookup in web application deployed to jboss I get following exception:

java.lang.ClassCastException: cannot assign instance of org.jboss.remoting.InvokerLocator to field org.jboss.ejb3.stateless.StatelessRemoteProxy.uri of type org.jboss.remoting.InvokerLocator in instance of org.jboss.ejb3.stateless.StatelessRemoteProxy

thanks in advance

One option is also Netbeans IDE that enables you to use servlets, Ajax, CSS, JavaScript, and JSF.

Hi,

I skimmed this article and I think it would be helpful for you too:
Optimistic Locking pattern for EJBs
Hi,

To get information about modified record your client should be polling(with version information of client objects) from server if someone has modified records and I think that optimistic locking can do this.
Hi,

This is configured in persistence.xml by property:
<property name="toplink.ddl-generation" value="drop-and-create-tables"/>

possible values for this are create-tables, drop-and-create-tables,none

So I think that by removing that property form persistence.xml preserves your data.
Is your program working otherwise ok because I tested that query and it worked for me.
Hi,

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: You have attempted to set a parameter at position 1 which does not exist in this query string DELETE FROM Employee e WHERE e.employeeID > 0.

There should not be need for setting any parameters.
Try also adding alias after DELETE
DELETE e FROM Employee e WHERE e.employeeID > 0
