Pattern p=Pattern.compile("\\[[^\\]]+\\]");

I have a problem with the following code.
I meant to catch "[fm1,-]". But I got "[fm1,-] funder [fm2,-] of our country. [sn8,s-]" instead.

import java.util.*;
import java.util.regex.*;

public class regPractice {

public static void main(String[] args) {
String s="<TITLE Getting to Know> I hope suitabe [fm1,-] funder [fm2,-] of our country. [sn8,s-]";
Pattern p=Pattern.compile("\\[(.*)\\]");
Matcher m=p.matcher(s);

if (m.find() ){
System.out.println(m.group(0) ) ;
}else{
System.out.println("Nothing");
}

}

}

IE 6.0 is using Microsoft JVM, not fully support Java2. The question is whether your applet is using Java 2 tech?

Try to insert applet as an object and set its ID. You may call the ID in your js.

Steps:
1) make sure You have installed JRE1.2~4.x ,
if ture
you will see the Java Plug_in in your control panel in win 9x/2k/xp
2)if it still doesn't work, you'd better open the java console to view the message inside;
3) if the message is about some security problem, try to use signature in your applet.
how to add digital signature in your applet?
a. make your class(es) int one jar
b. use keytool to creat your own digital signature file;
c. use jarsigner to add signature
d. while running the applet, accept the signature!

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooood luck!

Hi, Peter
When resource files, such as media or images, are included in a jar file, the applet can run faster. At least the applet can save time to download its multimedia resource. I make it while loading an image from a jar file. Sound is also OK. The big problem is that JMF cann't make it!

I am using JMF to play a sound file(ot.au). My applet works in and out of my JBuilder. When I put all stuff into a jar file, it reports:
javax.media.NoPlayerException: Cannot find a Player for :jar:file:/H:/player.jar!/data/ot.au
my code:
...
try {url=this.getClass().getResource(mediaFile) ;
} catch (Exception mue) { mue.printStackTrace() ; }
...
try {player=Manager.createPlayer( url);
} catch (NoPlayerException e) {
System.out.println(e); }

a trust applet can do it.
Another methead is to use a servlet .that is applet A and B who are communcating with each other via servelt C
14 years ago
It is possible to detect ! use javascript to communicate with applet. how to? U can google it!
14 years ago
Yes, I agree that u only need jre, not JDK
14 years ago
show me your code including applet and html. without code, how can we identify your problem?!

JMF is too poor! I got too much trouble from JMF. It needs much more improvement. IS SUN DECLINing ?! I wish no. we do need a giant to kick down another giant!
14 years ago
use jarsigner to get out the sandbox
BTW, if u r using JMF to record, you should enable capture while installing JMF. Otherwise, JMF will not record even in a trust applet!

I don't know whether sun (TM) gave another secruity denfinition on JMF. What's more, I am wondering whether JMF is pure java.

JMF is good but worse performance.
