Hi, i am sorry about that fact.
hope its ok now.
Hi,

I have a general question, i am trying to develop a banking application and i was thinking what if the connectivity to db fails at the time its inserting or updating a row. what could be the possible solution for backup or i mean use it in parallel in case of such an issue.

i thought of using xml, but since its not just text data but transaction data, i thought this is not going to be effective.

Please let me know of the possible solutions for this.
hi,

How is it possible to integrate mail server into the j2ee application. i mean the client should be able to mail using that mail server. and the address also should be changes accordingly rather than 127.0.0.9 or some some sort of ip.

hi there,

I'm a newbie to all these frameworks. Can someone tell me what JSF, SPRING, HIBERNATE is good for. i know SPRING and HIBERNATE are object mapping framework. So can some one explain to which of Spring and Hibernate is good for developing a banking application.
what is JSF used for and also if Struts is a good method to implement the login verification form or if we have to go for any other framework.
so you mean to say that when i start my cmail server instead of giving the smtp of the gmail i cant give that cmail server smtp right.

i know this is a very lame question but i really don't know why we use a mail server when we can do send and relieve mail using the java mail. can some one explain to me.

thanks Ulf for those motivating words creating a md5 hash is also fine , storing it in the database is also ok.. but problem comes when i want to know if the link is accessed or not,
if its accessed once or not(for that i can use a flag variable right) ,
if the link is expired or not( for that i can check if the time > the time when the hash has been generated right).

but i just didnt get the idea how to know if the link is accessed( that is if the link has been clicked or not)

well right now there is only the mail verfication and sms registration thats possible in a low level right making it not too complicated.
so how do you suggest i go ahead for the mail verification. i mean how do i generate that link for a new user and also how do i check if that link is used or not and also how to check the expiry of the links.

i did turn on the debug mode and the java code run gets stuck here.
i mean it doesnt move forward from this point on
here is the log for that

Sorry for that mix up. the documentation has sample codes in that which gives out the same code as well. so because of that i was thinking if there are any other api's that would help me out.

here is the documentation gives out by Simplewire

hi Ulf, thanks for the quick response. its just for a final term posject that i thought i would do this. its a complex banking application that has got its own mail server and db servers and all that.
for this when the user registers, he will get an sms with a verification code, that he is supposed to enter into that verification link thats sent out using the Java mail. so fir this i am not able to get that sms api working and got doubt in this user verification mail too.

well there is only one error that is thrown. that is operator ID mismatch.
can you suggest me some other api's that will help me send out a sms
