Thanks for your replies.

Basically I am looking if somehow I can reduce the dictionaries of Map i.e. map inside map

Map<String, Map<String, String>> level1 = new HashMap<String, Map<String, String>>();
Map<String, Map<String, Map<String, String>>> level2 = new HashMap<String, Map<String, Map<String, String>>>();

this is how the current implementation had designed the data structure of Maps.

Any better substitute of Map?

Hi All,

I am part of a project where we are facing a serious problem of restructuring the existing dictionaries of Hashmap. The code looks like :

Map<String, Map<String, String>> level1 = new HashMap<String, Map<String, String>>();
Map<String, Map<String, Map<String, String>>> level2 = new HashMap<String, Map<String, Map<String, String>>>();

This is used for generating reports and there are certain condition on this maps to check if XXX is present in these dictionaries then add that column/part on report.

Client wants to get rid of these dictionaries of Hashmap, basically they are looking for a good design.

I tried to provide a wrapper class around these structure like:

class Level1 extends Map<String, String>{}
class Level2 extends Map<String, Level1>{}

with this code looks good and and there is no need to change other part of existing code, but we are looking for some better solution.

If anyone can suggest better approach or design would be great help.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I am very new to JSF.
I am facing one problem, I want to change the state of check box (want to uncheckd it).
Even though I am setting value to false but its not working, it is getting its state from the root view.
Below is the simle jsf code i am using and setting employer field's value in controller as false.
I debuge it the value is changing for the field but when it start executing JSF stuff and its value reset to true.

<html:selectBooleanCheckbox id="employerAndIncomeID" value="#{PersonBSO.employer}" />

I struggling with this. If anybody tell me how to change a JSF components value programatically will be great help for me.

Thanks and Regards,
Priya

Thanks Cameron. No it is not an acadmic question, just wanted to know why this folder gets created when you creat a new workspace.
So it is only for tracking some kind of log files.

Yes, Actually problem was with class loader only.
Hi,

I am new to jaxb and ejbs.

I am using jaxb to parse the xml file.

In my workspace I have created to projects one for ejb module and another for web module.

I am able to parse the xml perfectly with the web module but when I am trying the same thing in ejb module getting following error :
'before this i have removed all the jars and generated binding interfaces and other files from web module'

[javax/xml/bind/JAXBException]: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/JAXBException

It seems, it is asking for some jar file and I have included all the jars in 'Java Build Path(in WASAD)' which I used in web module. In web module I had copied all the necessary jars under WEB-INF/lib folder also.

might be it is not getting the jaxb.properties file

Please help me!!!

Thanking you in an anticipation.
