The Web Developer works closely with Project Managers, Designers, and Editorial groups to help define requirements and feasibility for new features and tools, and initiate creative technical solutions. Additionally, this position will extend, update, and troubleshoot existing applications and tools.

This position is part of a team which architects and implements web application and web hosting solutions for our multiple supported companies. As part of this team, the successful candidate will assist in the development of new web architectures, processes and strategies as we move into our newly constructed, dedicated data facility in the coming 18 months. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in architecture, process and operational design and implementation activities related to the development of this �next-generation� hosting solution.�


The responsibilities for this position include administering multiple WebSphere application server environments, Apache administration, creating Perl/Shell/Jacl scripts, Verity K2 and Autonomy IDOL administration, Interwoven Teamsite and OpenDeploy administration, Informatica administration, Resin administration, responding to monitoring alerts and escalations from the Internet Operations Center, including after hours support and requesting changes from the System, Network or Database.
The candidate should also have working knowledge of J2EE application server administration (WebSphere, Weblogic, Jboss, ATG, etc.), HTTP, IP routing, DNS, Sendmail or equivalent, Firewalls and Load balancing. Additionally, the candidate will have several years Unix / Windows administration background but will not be directly responsible for administering the operating system.
