Thanks Nathan,

We are using cglib-nodep-2.2.2.jar ( this is the latest in cglib site)

I already tried on google, but no final conclusion if we need to use differebnt cglib jar .

Environment : JBoss 6.0, Spring 3.0.5, Hibernate 3.6

Hi Ranchers,

We are having an out of memory issue in our application.
Environment : JBoss 6.0, Spring 3, Hibernate 3.6

We use annotation based spring bean configuration as below. We get context and close and end of the operation.

AnnotationConfigApplicationContext beanContext = new AnnotationConfigApplicationContext(BeanConfig.class);
TestDAO testDAO = beanContext .getName("testDAO")
beanContext .close();
beanContext .destroy();

But the application ends to OOM issue ( perm gen) after processing few messages.

JVM args at starting of server is below.

JAVA_OPTS=-Xms512M -Xmx768M -XX:MaxPermSize=256M -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:MaxNewSize=256m -XX:NewSize=256m -XX:MaxTenuringThreshold=0 -XX:SurvivorRatio=128 -XX:+UseTLAB -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSClassUnloadingEnabled -XX:+CMSPermGenSweepingEnabled

Upon analyzing heap dump with visualvm, we see lots of cglib related inner classes are not being reclaimed by GC.
class names like: BeanConfig$$EnhancerByCGLIB3232$$FastClassByCGLIB$$$

Anyone having similar issue? Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Lucy: No guessing on answers. Question will mention how many answers are right.

Chandra: Regarding JSF, questions were not very clear.
I had not been through any JSF book though I have some hands on.

The two links are helpful:

Reading material is mostly what others have already mentioned in the forum.

But my suggession is

1. not to get into any depth of design patterns to clear the exam.

2. Security questions are vague...So read whatever you can gather on security...but of course no security design patterns required.

3. ejb3 (just read the feature differences as compared to ejb2)

Hope this helps.

Hey ,

I really feel sorry for you.
Would like to appreciate for being courageous to post about your failure in part1.

Please share which are the tough sections you found on exam? Any questions on security?

I am pretty sure you will come with flying colors in the next attempt.
Dont waste time reading specs....follow books like ed roman or sun tutorial...
EJBObject is there both in decorator and proxy pattern.

excerpt from Paul Allen's SCEA book.

"Java EE Technology Feature The Java EE technology feature associated with
the Proxy pattern is javax.ejb.EJBObject (EJB remote reference) in a structural sense.
Actually the stub object in the clients address space provides the proxy."

Still not clear why it's an decorator pattern. Any DP expert???
Folks,

There is no mention of UML, Internationalization in the new version.
So we won't expect any questions on these?

Please clarify.

Hi Folks,

Got voucher for SCEA 310-052.
But bit scared as the syllabus is different and no. of questions is 64.

Has anyone appeared for the new version part1 exam?

What sort of different preparation is required for new version as compared to older version?

Any help will be appreciate.

Thanks,
John
