Several different teams to work on:
Manageability and back end services : This team will own all the manageability infrastructure (APAS, better monitoring story, reducing deployment time, piloting early) and improving our back end systems and protocols (PEO, PM/RDS rationalization, Service Proxy/PSP rationalization and back end protocol simplification). This team will own PM, RDS, Please and GG and service proxy (client and server support).
Communications team and server partner interfaces team: This team will own Communications (Mixer, OIM, SIP proxy, relays) and partner interfaces (federation, Billing, Stamping). In addition, this team will also own raising engineering practices across the team. The challenges in this area are Improving IM Reliability & safety and Mobile communications.
Mobile and PC Client proxy : This team will own front end proxies that PC and Mobile devices communicate with for presence and notification scenarios. This team will own the front end protocols and will be the interfacing point to Mobile and client teams. The challenges for this team are: Supporting mobile scenarios natively, implementing features requested by UX teams, supporting generic notifications platform, getting NC more easy to maintain and raise EE standards for NC.
