Hello,

Environment: Websphere 7 + RAD 7.5

I have the following signature in Remote interface.

List<TaskDetail> findTaskByUser(Integer userId) throws Exception, RemoteException;

But RAD 7.5 gives the compilation error:JSR 220: EJB 3.0 Simplified API, 3.3: Methods of a business interface should not throw java.rmi.RemoteException.

So I chnaged to:
List<TaskDetail> findTaskByUser(Integer userId) throws Exception;

When I run the application Websphere throws Exception:
com.ibm.ejs.container.EJBConfigurationException: Method findTaskByUser of interface todo.facade.rmi.TaskFacadeBrokerRemote must throw java.rmi.RemoteException

Can someone tell why this conflict and how do fix this ?

Thanks

Thanks Ulf.

I have more than 2000 users and they have separate username and password.
Should I have this data on the JEE server to authenticate ?

Thanks

I tried without any EJB injection.

When i get the property from managed bean i get PropertyNotFoundException

javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: javax.el.PropertyNotFoundException:
WebContent/health-plan-signup-1.xhtml @25,55 action="#{healthPlanBean.signup}": Target Unreachable, identifier 'healthPlanBean' resolved to null

C Bell wrote:Deployment System: JSF 2.0.1.FCS Mojarra Implematation on Weblogic 10.3 appserver
No Spring or Hibernate.

Synopsis:
I have a table screen where a user can click an action (ie. edit, view) link on each row of data.
1. The user clicks a link on the table and receives a page (page 1) of information.
2. The user clicks an action on page 1, the user is then directed to the next page. On this page (page 2) there is no information.

If the user was to navigate back the table page and re-execute the previous actions the issue is resolved and there is no lose of bean information.
Both page 1 and page 2 contain the same managed bean (myBean).

Managed Bean info:
Name: myBean
Scope: Session

I have been on this issue for a few weeks, if anyone can assist please do.
If it helps, I always modify the request scope map before I return my actionString. I put an updated (from DB) myBean in this map.

Thank you in advance

Hi Ulf,

I have Web service end point which needs to response for iPhone app or any WS client.
I have planned to validate the username password from the incoming security header with the database table which is in MySQL.
So the WS client must send the username, password in the security header.
Actaully I dont want to create users in Application Server or Config file.
Can you advice ?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

I have the following interfaces and implementation classs.

@Stateless(name = "WorkOrderDao", mappedName = "WorkOrderDao")
public class WorkorderDaoImpl implements WorkorderDaoLocal, WorkorderDaoWS, WorkorderDaoRemote
{
..
..
}

@Local
public interface WorkorderDaoLocal extends WorkorderDao
{ }

@Remote
public interface WorkorderDaoRemote extends WorkorderDao
{ }

@WebService (name = "WorkorderDaoService", serviceName = "WorkorderDaoService", targetNamespace = "http://jaxws.ck.ws.com", portName = "WorkorderDaoPort")
public interface WorkorderDaoWS extends WorkorderDao
{ }

public interface WorkorderDao {
..
..
}

Eclipse, Weblogic 10
------------
This is deployed without problem, but there is no Web Service created.

Is this correct implementation ?
Any Idea ?

Thanks in advance

Hello Guys,

I need to call like following in init() method

bean.setAddress1("");
bean.setAddress2("");
bean.setCity("");
bean.setState("");
bean.setZip("");

Also I have to create class which implements ParameterizedRowMapper
But I have around 50 columns to map like

car.setAddress1(rs.getString("ADDRESS1"));
car.setAddress2(rs.getString("ADDRESS2"));
car.setCity(rs.getString("CITY"));
car.setState(rs.getString("STATE"));

So am looking any external tool or eclipse plugin for generate this.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Is there any plugin or tool for create POJO or bean with init() method ?
Not just POJO with getter, setter method. I need init method with default values.

Hi,

I have two persistence units in one persistence.xml
Each persistence unit connected with separate database and using Hibernate.
say Entitymanager em1 for persistence unit1 and
Entitymanager em2 for persistence unit2.
I get an entity from em1 using JPQL and it has values.
I want to persist this entity with em2.
I am getting an error "detached entity passed to persist."

Can some one post how do achieve this ?

Thanks
Kathir
I tried with the following chnages

But still same problem.
