Hi All,

I was looking through the below link for web page caching in ehcache:-
EHCache Web Page Caching

They say that:- Pages are cached based on their key. The key for this cache is the URI followed by the query string. An example is /admin/SomePage.jsp?id=1234&name=Beagle. However I am unsure how will it provide the security. If someone changes the id and hits the page, will it show-up the cached data of some other user? Can't we decide our own keys? Can't we decide when to pick up the cached data and when to fetch new data?

Thanks,

Hi Friends,

I tried to create a webservice using Asyncprovider in glassfish server. However i was unable to deploy. The following is the code:-

The error that i get while deploying it is :-

SEVERE: class com.test.service.MyProvider does not implement the javax.xml.ws.Provider interface
There are lot of questions that are asked twice or more in this forum. If someone is not satisfied or the answer does not solve his ultimate purpose then i suppose she/he can ask the question again. I don't think that it is an issue.

That question was asked my me about 1.5 years ago but I haven't been able to find good content on annotation yet. Since then lot of people have learnt lots of things and they might have learnt lot of new ways to solve a particular task. Hence I feel that it is perfectly fine to ask the question again.

Hi Friends,

We all use annotations, but how can we create our own annotations. Does anybody know any tutorial or something which describes the process to write our own annotations?

I tired to look into the source code of @Deprecated annotations and I found the below code:-

But I want to know the implementation behind such codes, or how can we write our own annotations.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Friends,

I am able to run it successfully in tomcat using Axis 2. But it is not working with glassfish.

Thanks,
I am trying to run an example of sending the byte[] as attachment in webservice. To implement this, I used @MTOM(enabled=true). But when i use soapUI or java client to verify the attachments, i see the data coming as part of the xml rather than being a part of the attachment.

I also went through the MTOM example link and made changes in soap ui accordingly. But the response remained same. (I am using glassfish 3.1.2)

To create the java client I used

and verified the response using handler, but the received byte array was a part of the envelope rather than being a part of attachment.

If anyone has a running example then please forward me the same.

Thanks,
I am looking it for the certification purpose. The following are the exam topics:-

How to define webservice in terms of ejb?
How to deploy ejb webservice to an ejb container?
What are the benefits associated with it?
Hi Smitha,

Nice post. I am still looking for the contents regarding the topics you pointed out:-

DP / Best practices / Deployment / Security

Please let me know if you find something good.

Thanks Siitesh, The link will certainly help me in getting a better understanding of the concepts.
Hi Peter,

I am unable to find helpful contents on the security part of webservices. Could you please provide me some information regarding the books or links where I could get the relevant data?

Thanks,

Hi Friends,

I came across with a webservice based architecture where I saw the request was sent in three ways:-

1. Sending the values by passing them in parameters.
2. Creating the xml structure and posting the xml to the URL
3. Using SOAP to make calls to the URL.

Ex.:- ebay api

Is there a framework to create these kinds of separate architecture in one go or they are coded separately?

Thanks,

Hi Friends,

The exam topics states using webservice with ejb. Such as following:-

How to define webservice in terms of ejb?
How to deploy ejb webservice to an ejb container?
What are the benefits associated with it?

Can someone please tell me what all should I do for these topics? (I have only basic understanding of EJB.)

I created webservice using ejb stateful and stateless bean but I was not able to trace the difference. I googled but was unable to find relevant information.

Please guide.

Thanks,
Hi Friends,

How can we create a webservice client if the server part is created via WebServiceProvider annotation? What is the use of this annotation?

Thanks
