This means that the (odbc) data source cannot be found and the driver has not been specified. Check that you have the ODBC data source set up correctly with the correct driver and that you invoke the jdbc-odbc bridge correctly in your java code.

yes - request.getParameter("parametername") returns null.
Let me explain:
The web application works perfectly - there is a part of the site which is in a separate directory and all the files in that directory need to be password protected.
When using Basic Authentication, it all works perfectly but after switching to NT Challenge/Response Authentication, request.getParameter("paramname") returns null instead of the value it should be returning.
Could this have something to do with the jakarta_redirect.dll which is set up in IIS?

JSP
Hi,
When I use NT Challenge/Response to authenticate users for JSP site, information in forms is not retrieved properly by request.getParameter() - instead of retrieving the input, it sees the form item as being empty or containing a null.
Any solutions?

I have installed Tomcat as an NT Service using jk_nt_service.exe, exactly as it said in the How-to document, but when I try and start the service i get: "Error 2140: An internal Windows NT error occurred."
Does anybody know why this is happening?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
I'm running tomcat with IIS on an NT server. I want to restrict access to jsp files in a subdirectory of the website's root dir.
I have setup correct security in IIS and NT file permissions. I know it is right because it works for .html files in the subdirectory BUT it doesn't work for .jsp files in the subdirectory.
i.e., for .html file, user is asked for username and password but for a .jsp file the browser just loads it up without asking for username/password.
Please provide me with a way to fix this!!!
thanks,
Anthony

JSP
Hi,
Please help me. I have my jsp pages stored on the server in C:\systemDB and all the pages which allow the user to make changes to records in the database are in a subdirectory: c:\systemDB\ModifyFiles. I am using IIS. I want to restrict access to those jsp files in the ModifyFiles directory, by the site prompting the user for their NT username and password when they try to access it.
I have set this up appropriately in IIS and it works fine with .html files but it is NOT restricting access to the jsp pages. How do I rectify this?

Hi,
I am trying to setup a jsp site on an NT box with IIS. I have followed everything step by step.
Now, when I browse to http://localhost/ the index.html page is displayed. When I try and load any jsp page (stored in the same dir as index.html) for example http://localhost/menu.jsp, I get a 404 Error: File Not Found: /jakarta/isapi_redirect.dll
Can anyone provide any suggestions?
Thanks,

when developing, i was using tomcat standalone. Now I'm trying to set up the site to run off the server. It is on an NT box running IIS. I have followed all the instructions in the how-to document but it is still not working.
Can anyone answer this q:
when developing, the jsp files were in c:\tomcat\webapps\examples\systemDB (project name is systemDB)
and the java class files were in c:\tomcat\webapps\examples\web-inf\classes\systemDB
where do i put the jsp and the class files on the server?

Hi,
I am struggling to get Tomcat working with IIS. I think it may be the uriworkermap.properties and workers.properties files. I am using the default ones.
Can someone please help me with configuring this...?

How do I stop the form from submitting when enter is hit?
OR how do I call a javascript function when enter is hit in a form field?
hi,
SQL server uses North American date format i.e. MM/dd/yy. How can I make it so that when I insert a value into a datetime field in regular British/Australian date format (dd/MM/yy) it doesn't interpret it wrongly?

Hi, I've been testing my jsp site in both Netscape 4.08 and IE 4. I have an "edit details" window which pops up when a link is clicked and displays the current details in the input fields. This allows the user to edit the details. When the user hits save, the new info. is committed to the database and the window closes, and the page in the parent window is refreshed to reflect the new details in the DB.
In Netscape, once all this has been done, if the user clicks the link to edit the details again, the most recent details are displayed in the text fields in the popup window, but in IE, it loads the old version of the page so the old details are displayed.
When I right click > refresh it updates. How do I get it to automatically regenerate the page from the server and load it rather than loading the old version?
Thanks,
Ant
