My recommondation would be to try out one of the JSF frameworks out there like ICEfaces or MyFaces (not sure whether MyFaces has libraries for charts though?). Just include the library and then insert the code into your page.

I have a problem like this too. I'm using the ICEfaces framework and creating a collapsible panel in a kind of form generator class. My code is as follows:

After this there isn't any clear indication of how to set the facet needed for the header. No getHeader method. The only two methods that have anything to do with the facet is getFacet(String arg0) (returns UIComponent) and getFacets() (returns Map<String, UIComponent>.

Now there's two possibilities that I'm seeing here:
  • getFacet("header").getChildren().add(new UIComponent() or whatever);
  • getFacets().put("header", new ??? facet UIComponent object());

  • The questions that remain is does the header facet automatically get created in which case we can just use the first option or do we have to create it and what object do we then use to create that header facet.

    Hi, I have a problem adding elements programatically. I have already found another forum post where I posted the problem but nobody has replied yet. Maybe you could take a look at it and let me know what you think?

    Hi,

    Usually you can set this the timezone in your application server's startup script. I noticed this with my JBoss server when my logs were always 2 hours behind. I'm not sure about the other application servers but with JBoss you can go to %JBOSS_HOME%/bin/run.bat (or run.sh for Linux) and edit the file. Search for 'GMT' and then fix the timezone there.

    Hi,

    I'm using the ICEfaces framework and also need to dynamically generate these elements. I tried to use your technique described here but ended up with an error and a blank where all the elements are supposed to be. Here is the method:

    And the error I keep getting is:

    This application tries to generate a form with ICEfaces elements and then display it in a ice:panelPopup element containing only one ice:panelGroup element with the property: which is a HtmlPanelGroup object from the ICEfaces library.

    Any help would be appreciated because I am totally lost at the moment.
