Ok , fine . I have got one question just to make my self more clear. What about putting a link to someone's personal blog entry in the profile of that person ? every time when you post a reply or a new post that blog link would be visible. And anybody can click the link and it will take him to that personal blog. Does this fall in to the category of advertising or not ?. Based on your explanation it seems it is also a sort of advertising...

Jeanne,

you could just move the original thread to wiki rather than deleting it , so that everybody who comes to SCEA forum section could have a chance to read it. But instead you just deleted the post.. is that right ?

I have shared everybody few links about GOF design patterns , and I guess that everybody may have so far been benefited. But this forum leader apparently deleted the post saying that it is ADVERTISING. I have nothing to say about the rule. But advertising must earn something for the person who is doing it. But when I share some content with you guys I do not get anything , but pure happiness that I helped many people out there. I have also shared you guys a huge number of OCMJEA short notes and I surely know that many of you had used it as well. But today comes a day that I felt very upset about what the forum leader has done. He or she should read the content and see if there is any advertising or not. I hope this post will not be removed at least.

Got a reply from Oracle , I have successfully passed the Architect exam . I would like to thank you all and this forum for being such a useful place for me. Thank you once again.
Thank You Rajan,

But this email address seems to make an Autoreply with some predefined content. The reply mail I have got is as follows. Is this similar to what you have got ?

Thank you for contacting the Sun Certification Program.

With the change from Prometric to Pearson VUE, we expect no disruption in availability of testing. However candidates should be aware of a system issue that may affect the shipment of your certificate and the timing of your certification. Transition of records to Oracle's certification database and maintenance to the database during the transition period may delay the shipment of your printed certificate up to two or three weeks. If your certification success kit is delayed by more than 2-3 weeks, please contact us at suncert_ww@oracle.com for assistance.

HELPFUL INFO

You may find the answer to your question on the Certification Website <someurl> .

Please allow up to 5 business days for a reply. Please note that sending multiple emails will cause more email for us to filter through and may slow down our response time.

Regards,
OCP Team

Rajan,

Would you mind letting me know the email address that you have used to contact Oracle in this case ?

Thanks!
Rajan,

Have you heard from Oracle on the results ? or are you still waiting ...
What I believe is Oracle is still fine tuning the assignment requirements. That is why there are some grey areas that we all could argue on. Anyways as long as the requirement makes sense it should be backed up. On the other hand we should not encourage the sudden introduction of new requirements unless it is properly announced and every one is well acknowledged. Having a tough assessment would raise the quality and acceptance of the certification.

Having said that , I do not wish to make any comments on these new requirements anymore as those may well be changed in the future also. What we expect is consistency in requirements , not the overnight introduction of new ones once one has already downloaded the assignment and even has sent the assignment for grading. Those people would surely be disturbed with the constant discomfort resulted in thinking that if they could satisfy previously untold requirements. That is what we need to argue on and we need to argue whether it is justified or not.
