Hello,
I just passed the exam last month. I also got one question which was saying to select two options and only one was correct. I did not attempted at all that. I am sure that that question had got only one correct answer but the question was saying two options are correct. I do not know if it is possible to report about some question to sun officially. Because if it is possible I would like to report it.

Thanks. Well my advice is to keep your calm. Read each question carefully and try to understand it. And then answer it. Do not answer any question in hurry. This helped me a lot in getting this score I think. I just did the Mock exams I have written in previous post at most two time. But I practiced and tried to understand Khalid Mughal exam again and again and Applied Reasoning exam. Khalid's exam is wonderful. Try to understand things rather than remembering.
Wish you best of luck for your exam.

Hi All,
I passed on 21 Dec the exam. I posted this already but that post got lost. I just want to say thanks to the moderaters of this wonderful site. I am programming in Java for nearly 2 years. I want to pursue some more certification. But still not sure for which certification to go. I am thinking to go for some XML certification. Where can I find info about this. I would like any recommendation for future certification which I should pursue.
I want to say thanks to Marcus Green for his exams. Beside this I used Applied Reasoning Mock exam, Bill Brodgen Exam, Khalid Mughal's wonderful exam and Majji exams. I am thankful to all these people and Maha for her wonderful homepage.
Beside this I want to say thanks especially to Valentin Crettaz for her replies whenever a few times I put up some question and all other people who provided me timely response.

Hi All,
I have scored around 90 % in Marcus green mock exams in my first attempts. But in Khalid exam after a lot of time I took it I score around 60% or 70%. Similalray in some other exams I am scoring aorund 70 to 80%. I am concentrating on 7 exams in all for practice. My problem is I am bit confused whether to book the exam or not because I feel not confident about the difficulty level of actual exam. I read Marcus green exams have complexity very close to real exam. Is it so?. I would appreciate any one advice in this regard. And especially if some one can guide me about the difficulty level of actual exam.
Thanks & Regards

About inner classes I can recommned you to read this article about inner classes at javranch
http://www.javaranch.com/campfire/StoryInner.jsp
This is the best resource for learning about innner classes as far as I think in an easy way. Hope this helps.

Hello,
The streams which support mark(int numBytes) and reset() functionality. I want to know that the what the parmeter numBytes means. Like I call it like this mark(20). And after reading 10 bytes I call reset. Then I read again 15 bytes. Can I now call again reset method or not. Is this number just depends on the number of bytes read from a stream. Or is this number is something that acts as a starting point and with in numBytes limit you can call reset any time. And once you go out of this range from starting point then you can not call reset. I would appreciate any help on this.
Thanks

It is strange thing. Are there also some other classes from Sun which do not have a well defined equals method. And can somebody tell that what is the reason for not having an equals() method well defined in StringBuffer or any other class.

Hello,
StringBuffer sb1 = new StringBuffer("hello");
StringBuffer sb2= new StringBuffer("hello");
System.out.println(sb1.equals(sb2));
Why this code prints false. Is there some difference in StringBuffer equals() method.

Hello,
This is from applied reasoning mock exam. What is the Result of the following fragment of the code
(byte) 0x81 >> 2.
The answer is 0xFFFFFFE0. While to me it seems the answer will be 0x20. Pls. tell me the point I am missing. I think if we convert 0x81 to decimal it is 129 and it is already an integer literal and then we are performing a shift operation on it. We are typecasting the result to a byte.
Can someone help me about this.

Hi,
What does this statement means. It is from Applied Reasoning Java Ceritification Mock Exam:
Hashmaps provide synchronized access through synchronized wrappers.
What is meant by synchronized access and synchronized wrapper.

Hi All,
To make myself clear about java.lang.NullPointer exception I want to know it is thrown:
1. When we assign null to some object reference. And then we invoke some member method on that object. Like
String str = null;
str.concat("123");
The toString() method is an exception in this case. Pls. correct me if I am wrong. And pls. if someone can explain in more detail that under what else conditions it is thrown.
Regards
Muhammad Ali
Wish you good luck.
