Hello All!

This week I cleaned the SCBCD 5 with 73%

I studied based on the Notes and Information of the http://faq.javaranch.com/java/ScbcdLinks and the books Mastering EJB 3.0 (4th Edition) and OReilly Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0 (5th Edition).

Now I will take a break and then study to SCEA

Thanks all ranchers!

Yes, I have done it...

The files are generated by the JasperReports, then I just got the OutputStream of each one and wrote it in the ZipOutputStream... Very simple.

The problem is that IE don't implements "multipart/x-mixed-replace"...

What's it can be a solution to IE? Create a Zip file?

You started the rmiregistry?

Try this code from server side:

Look at official sun documentation http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/rmi/index.html

Hi Poonam,

From JSP 2.0 you don't need to put <taglib> in the DD. You need to keep the TLD files in correct place.
But this tag is used to maintain compatibility.

The Servlet's name can be /news/topic too. It depends of servlet mapping in Deployment Descriptor...

Hi Sahil,

It depends what persistence framework you will use.

- Hibernate, you can put the simple queries at NamedQueryes in Pojos...
- Ibatis, you can put the queries in xml files...
- DataBase you will need to use StoredProcedures or Function to use the queries...

It's about Scope:
The ServletContext has the application scope, it contains objects presents in all the servlet life cycle, like configuration parameters presents on deployment descriptor...
And the PageContext is just for the jsp. But it have an add where you can get/set attributes from any scope. See the specification: http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/api/index.html

Now, it's a network "problem".
You need to forward the http service from your server to the internet.
Maybe your ISP is blocking the http traffic from inside to outside...

Dave Mark wrote:Sorry Oscar, I don't like UserState.L (what does that stand for!?)

You are correct Dave. Here, we use a framework that use this approach to "easily" use Enums in Hibernate. But is much limited.

Hi Joseph,

In Servlet/JSP we use the web.xml to some configurations...

I would suggest to you read some Servlet/JSP book, like the "Head First Servlet and JSP".
