I am also interested in this answer. BTW how do we generate the DTD's automatically, if at all, in the first place?

Yes. But with a minor typo.
Insert one white space between client and (, that is ,

<!ELEMENT client (name, phone*, company?, (contact| attitude|
personal)*)>

If i am not mistaken then JAXP is not a parser.

Hi,
U need to do the following steps

1.Parse the xml file using a parser like SAX,DOM,JAXP etc., and store in a Document(api) object.
2.Search the particular element u want to modify.
3.Again store the modified Document into an XML file.
This is the process to be followed to do your task..The name of APIs differ with respect to the parser, u are going to use.

Paramaguru

Please check that the classpath is set properly. Also make sure that sampClass1.class has indeed been created. Hope this helps.

What do you mean "converting XML to XSL". As far as I know XSL is used to display XML document.
Please correct me if i am wrong.
