Did you get any reply or came to any conclusion for the multiplicity? Please share it.
thanks
Amit

I changed the multiplicity from Domain Model to Class Diagram and i explained every change i made.
Hi,

I am finishing my scea ssignment and i have a doubt with component diagramas and JPA antities. Do we need to show dependencies from services to JPA entities? and, if so, what entities could we thought that are been used by services?

Thanks.
Hi,

What do you think that we need to show in diagrams to show that we have a Stateless facade that implements an endpoint?

I think that we need to show the stereotypes for Facade and for the methods, but i don't know if we need to show any type of interface .

Thanks in advance.

I have another doubt... i think that a proxy object will be in the integration tier... but to have a SLSB in the integration tier is correct?

Ok, thanks to all!!

In the next two weeks i submit the assignment and i will see if the proxy is a good choice

Thanks for your answers...

I like the proxy pattern, i think that is better than dao to call a web service...

Dmitri, have you used WS transactions?

The web service don't have persistence, with the web service the application communicate with an external system. I don't manage transactions with the web service, because i think that there isn't a really standar tecnology to work with transactions in web service, is this correct?

My doubt is that the dao is to decouple the tecnology and code for communication with a system from services, but i think that using Jax-Rpc the service only have to call to an interface and therefore i don't need a dao, what doy you think about this?

Thanks for your answers, and sorry for my english.
Hi,

I access to a web service using JAX-RPC from a SLSB, should i use a DAO to access to the web service? What do you think?

Thanks in advance.
Hi,

Should we comment about exception handling in part 2 of SCEA? What do you think?

I have little experience in exception handling, and i have doubts about that. If we have JSF->SessionFacade->Services->JPA, which is the best option? I think that if we don't have BusinessDelegate we have no option to handle business exceptions and if we don't have DAOs we have no option to handle SQL exceptions? And, in JSF, which do you think that is the better method to exceptions handling?

Thnaks in advance and sorry for my english.
Hi,

I am working in the assignment and i am confused about the previous step of a use case.

If i have a use case that in the first step the user send any information to system (from a form, i suppose), have i to show the previous steps to load the needed information in that form?

I think that it is valid to do an assumption that previous steps are out of context and that the information it will be loaded somehow. Also i have thought to put a service to load this information, but this service will not have methods in the component diagram. What do yoy think about this?

P.D. I am sorry for my english.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I am spanish and i have a doubt with a use case description. If moderators think that my question is prohibited, i'm sorry.

The use case description: The system issue a Document to an Enterprise... do it mean that the system sends the Document to the Enterprise? or do it mean that the system create a Document for the Enterprise?

I suppose that the responses say me that it depends on context, but i think that to know the opinion from english speaker is important.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

First of all, i don't speak english very well, i'm sorry.

If we have an managed bean (a JSF backingbean, for example) we can use DI to access to a remote ejb. This is simplier than ServiceLocator... but, we need to optimice the performance and the cost for establishing a conection with a remote interface is bad for performance, we need to cache the conection to remote interface. Can we get this by using DI? do we need a ServiceLocator for cache and improve the performance? could the web server cache the conection??

An other question, could we use de ServiceLocator from an backingbean?, i think that we need a bussinesdelegate to separate the bussines tier from an web tier object like a backingbean, what do yoy think??

Thanks in advance...
Ok, I understand... thanks

I have another question: i think that the multiplicity have to change from Domain Model to Class Diagram... because in the Domain Model we have concepts while in the class diagram we have software elements...

And then, imagine that we have an item with one or more subitems... in this case, i think that in the Domain Model the multiplicity would be *, ok? In the class diagram, could we have a multiplicity of 1 if we have an attribute quantity_of_subitems and all subitems are the same...?
Up.

Please... Has someone thought about this?

Thanks.
Hi,

I am in the same point that you, i'm thinking about BDM and i hink that is incorrect.

I think one part can have multiple car models and multiple markets and vice verse, in such case, should I use enumeration? a list?

I think that a Car Model can be in multiple Markets and a Part Type can be in multiple Car Model.

must all existing relations in the given class diagram of question paper be kept exactly as they are provided?

I hope not.

Please, could you think about: https://coderanch.com/t/480076/Architect-Certification-SCEA/certification/Part-II-Dreamcar-questions
