Hi Pros,

Let me explain my problem with the help of following steps.

1. User logs in to the system to see the default main page.
2. He browses through the application, at some point he reaches pageX( There is a link on pageX say linkY).
3. He goes away for some time. His session on server expires in the meantime
4. When he comes back and clicks on linkY of pageX, system redirects him to the login page.
5. Once logged in what he sees is default main page and not desired pageY of linkY

Is there any way I can do this without losing session status of the user when he was on pageY ?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Pros,

We are using Hibernate for the persistent layer of our Java based web application. It has been observed that the application response time is significantly slow when using Oracle as compared to using MySQL.

For Example.
Particular transaction (used as a abstract term) say transactionX takes approximately 18 Sec with MySQL. Same transationX when fired using Oracle as a database completes in approximately 55 Sec.

Is there any known issue with hibernate which must be causing this performance issue with Oracle?

We fired generated SQL statements directly from SQL editor. Our initial investigation directs towards use of joins, but not sure if this is the real culprit.

Also, In configurations we found one difference,

For MySQL
For Oracle

Hi Pros,

I have two jar files in my web application lib directory, let's say jar1 and jar2.

jar1 contains a class, lets say Class1 under the package com.something1.something2
jar2 also contains a class with same name i.e. Class1 under the same package i.e. com.something1.something2

Now I need my Tomcat to use jar1 for some functionality and jar2 for some other functionality
So, existence of both these jars is must.

How to set the application to go for one particular Class1 say Class1 from jar1 ?

Hi Guys,

I came across equinox while reading a document on how to integrate Struts-Spring-Hibernate. It seems a very good tool to save time creating development environment.

I downloaded equinox-all-1.7.zip and followed the instructions to create a development directory structure for my project. But, I guess I am missing something as after running ant task to create a new project directory structure I got series of warnings like

[artifact:dependencies] [WARNING] POM for 'httpunit:httpunit:pom:1.6' is invalid. It will be ignored for artifact resolution. Reason: Not a v4.0.0 POM.

Then I checked lib directory of newly crate project environment to find only 1 jar file.

Can anybody help me out with this ?

Hi Pros,

I have seen many real time projects using integrated Struts MVC, Spring IOC and AOP, Hibernate ORM.

I can understand, the use of Hibernate for persistent layer, but I am wondering why to use Struts if we have Spring's own MVC ?

Anybody ?

Thanks in Advance,
