I'm writing an application to get the news from RSS; It's ok, but I want my application can get that news periodically, it's mean that it will check periodically whether there is a new information?

hi every one! i want to create a portlet with some tabs. in every tab, there are some hyperlinks. i don't khow how to click in this link, it will link to other portlet/web content in other page?? can you help me??? thanks a lot.
