Wish I could have left it up, but the information on the post was pertinent to work and I don't think I should leave code I do at work online anywhere. As for the problem, my code was fine, I was just trying to insert values into an access DB when I had accidentally left the first column as the primary key. As soon as I inserted two "whitespace" characters into the DB in the primary key column, it flipped out. So, bottom line, check the primary key column when you get General SQL error, perhaps you are inserted two of the same values and need to change your key or eliminate it.
"We are in the process of changing your failing score to a passing score. Once that is complete, your certification package will be mailed to you. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing and delivery."

Sounds pretty good to me. However, I thought the passing score was still officially 66% and not being changed.
Soumya,

As I was told yesterday, any certification that proves your knowledge is helpful regardless of the reward. I'm not all that familiar with NIIT, but with some sort of degree AND a certificate, you should be able to find some sort of entry level job. Programming skills are not all a company looks for however, how personable you are and past experience is also plays a decent roll in getting a job. As for your salary, that is going to vary by company. I have seen entry level start anywhere from 25k and upwards. It is just going to depend on your credentials. Hope this helped. Good Luck!

YES, On the SUN web page we can find: "Pass score: 66% (40 of 60 questions)".

Thank you for the response.
Was this answer ever settled?

60 Questions. 66% to pass? Confirmed?
I appreciate the quick response. Those are my feelings entirely. And as for what the University teaches me, I know that was only a starting block. But, I have done some work beyond what I have learned in school and I am currently reading the "Sierra, Bates" study guide right now. I'm not so much worried about passing the test as I am about wondering if it is worth my time.

Thanks again.
I have also been reading about the new SCJP+ exam that is beta testing right now. Should that deter me from getting my SCJP 1.6 cert?
Hello. This is my first post on the forums, as I have only joined a few days ago. I just have a few general questions I would like answered if all possible.

1. I am getting ready to start my 4th and final (hopefully) year at my University and I am wondering if this would be a good time to get my SCJP certification. Or would it be better to get it after graduation. My school really hasn't prepared us for anything other than getting a degree, so my knowledge in what is TRULY needed in the outside world is limited.

2. What other certifications would you recommend. I am interested in every language, MOSTLY, and do not want to short myself the opportunity of getting something that would benefit me in my entry-level career.

3. Is there anything else in general you think I should know about these certs and beginning a career after college?

Thank you.
