Hi All,

Finally after 4 months of wait, i have received mail from oracle today about my assignment (though Certview still shows "taken" for part 3) that i have passed.

My Assignment was "Factory Homes", submitted on 14th July.

I thank Rishi, Jeanne, Will, Krzysztof, Sharma Ashutosh, Rajan Choudhary and 'n' number of others for their contribution in this forum which guided me to clear this certification.

I have 7 yrs of Java Experience (total industry experience is the same) and the work i am doing now is kind of a lead (team management) in my company.
I want to move into technical architect arena, hopefully the learning i did for this certification help me to move towards it.

All suggestions, ideas, guidance regarding "Options, Career Shaping, more certs for tech upgrade etc, Post SCEA" are welcome.

Thank You,
Guru.

Hi Viggo,

I am also in same position.... but this time i didnt send any mail to OCP team....

Because i know even i mentioned/highlighted/bold/italics/whatever that i dont want any generic reply, they will be continuing "sending generic replies and asking to wait, wait and wait....."

Its very simple now, OCP team can do anything other than sending generic replies to us on one side and ask the assessor to assess our assignments soon on the other side......

Oracle Rules.......

Hi All,

Me too submitted my assignment (FH) on 15th july and still waiting...
Got all sorts of reply from OCP team.. "wait for 1-2 weeks", "wait for 2-3 weeks", "there is glitch in grading system", " we apologize".... etc....

I also used transition voucher to submitted mine....

From this thread its very clear that, whoever used "TRANSITION VOUCHER" (in june and july) suffering....
Oracle didnt handle this transition properly... they nearly lost our assignments and struggling to find ways to come out....

other than that there is no point in delaying the result which hardly takes 2 weeks to assess an assignmet....
my respect to oracle keep on vanishing......

Cool......

Now we hear that results are coming out in 5 days after submission.....
Yes, Just 5 days......

Expecting more to happen on this weird grading system......
Congratulations.........

5 days is really very fast....
Infact i got a mail saying my assignment is sent for grading after 10 days .....

Hope oracle will recruit many people like the assessor who assess this much fast....

Hi

what was the assignment and when did you submitted and when did you receive the result?

what was the information you have provided in deployment diagram? so that anyone can discuss on missing items.
When i see in this forum that many had got the result even within 2 weeks after their submission and people submitted after july 15th (the day i submitted ) also got the result, my guess about "oracle blocking/delaying in announcing FAILURE results" getting stronger.....

It may sound negative... but its just a guess....
Good to hear that people submitted before a week and after a week of july 15th(my submission date ) are getting results this week.....

congratulations....

SLA of e-mail server is on top risk and you must provide a very strong mitigation to deal with thousands of angry e-mails per day.

Good ideas would come.

Well said.

Andrew Monkhouse wrote: Even if these submissions are being evenly distributed to all assessment centers on a FIFO basis, it is quite possible that any given assignment might get queued up for a while if someone is sick or on vacation.

If thats the case, its oracle's responsibility to manage these and transfer assignments to somebody else (who can assess assignment submitted just 12 days back and come up with a result) and produce result (whatever it is) for people who are waiting for long time.

Andrew Monkhouse wrote:
That doesn't make sense to me. In fact the opposite would make more sense - if you have not looked at a submission within the SLA, just fail them, and restart the clock. The fact that this is not happening is a good indication that they are behaving honorably.

If something like SLA is maintained, (i think it should be 6-8 weeks as they mentioned), then when it exceeds, if they would have checked with people/center involved, there wont be anybody now who is waiting for more than 12 weeks (twice the SLA).... but thats not the case here......
I may sound negative by saying this, but its NOT to discourage anyone waiting like me......

Is oracle blocking results for those who failed so as to avoid people resubmitting and again waiting for long time to get the result? as they are already received so much of first time submission and they need to assess all those???

am i having a point?
I have even emailed them 2 times, everytime i got a standard reply asking me to wait for 3-4 weeks further.....
