I am working in Windows NT but trying to run Expect commands
8 years ago
Hi,

I am new to working with Linux/Unix. I created a file which executes set of expect commands. It works fine, when I am running it from command prompt. I have written a program that executes series of commands using the program test.expect.

I am using java 1.7, expect 5.1 and Windows NT system.

I am trying to run the commands from program using

This is creating a text file, but it has no values.
Can some one help me. I am trying to run set of commands.

I tried another approach, where I created a batch file and processing the batch file, but the problem is that, the command takes 50sec to execute and all the commands are not executing.

Please help me.

Hi,

I have 2 XML files that have some attributes that are same.

First xml

second xml

When I am parsing the second xml, then I am getting error as org.exolab.castor.xml.MarshalException:Illegal text data found as child of:name

Java class

Can you please help me why the elements are not ignored?
Thanks Rob, let me check that.

I have a class Book, the code can be null. When I am using clone like this, I am getting NullPointerException, when code is null. But I want to copy even when code is null.

Thanks a lot Rob. Got what I need.

Thanks Kumar,

Actually it can be done in PHP, so had a question if we can do that in Java too

I have a zip file. Is there a way to process the file within the zip file without unzipping the file. For example: if there is c:\test\a.zip, a.zip has b.xml, can I process b.xml without having to extract a.zip and store it in a separate folder.

Thanks,

if I give PropertyConfigurator.configure("log4j.properties"); I get fileNotFound error.

I have even tried

still getting the same warning and I see no messages
Yes I did read the article. But I gave it the path to the properties file and still I am unable to see the output.
I am using the example from the website Log4J Example

I am having log4j in "C:\apache-log4j-1.2.16" and log4j-1.2.16.jar is in "C:\apache-log4j-1.2.16". I have set the path to C:\apache-log4j-1.2.16\log4j-1.2.16 and LOG4J_HOME="C:\apache-log4j-1.2.16"
When I run the program, I am getting this error:

I am using netbeans and have added the library file to the project. What is going on?

Thanks,
Mattew,

There can be more than one file in each directory that I need to move. So first I have to scan and check how many files are present before moving the files.

Thanks

I want to know how many files are there in F1 directory. If there are F11, F12.. inside F1, then it should go to each individual directory and move the file to C:\Moved folder

What do you mean by "And the difference is?" I am not understanding your question. I want to move files from one directory, where in if the path is the directory then go into the directory until there are no more directories, then take the file and put it in another location.
