Hey ya'all.

I'm adding a feature to a JSP application that will send users their login and password if they forgot them. I'm using JavaMail to implement the solution. I'm having a problem establishing a connection with an SMTP server via SSL. The connection fails, throws an exception with the message "Unrecognized SSL handshake".

The test code works with using a non-SSL SMTP server (Yahoo!). I googled and found an old problem with similar symptoms, but was due to early versions of JavaMail's lack of SSL support. I am using 1.3.2ea, which includes support for SSL.

It's my understanding that the source for 1.3.2 isn't available, so I'm here at the saloon in search for help. I think I'll have a beer while I'm at it.

Something like this...
public class ProviderServlet extends HttpServlet
{
public static void aStaticMethod ()
{
// do some stuff...
}
}
public class Client
{
public void aClientMethod ()
{
// This executes the static method...
ProviderServlet.aStaticMethod ();
}
}

I am prototyping a portal and porlet framework, and I want to capture the output of a JSP that is included using DispatcherRequester.include. I have created a ServletResponseWrapper sub-class that provides its own ServletOutputStream and PrintWriter, but during execution, these are ignored, and the output somehow goes directly to the original output stream. Very perplexing
