On Wednesday 11th of August I passed for my exam of SCDJWS 5 (cx-310-230). I answered 37 of 65 (score 57%) questions correctly. The passing score was 42 %. Most questions where theoretically and were about choosing the two best options. There was one drag-and-drop question. Though the questions were not easy, I'm glad I succeed to pass the exam. javascript:emoticon('

Here are some points I want to share with you about my preparation.
I read the following books and other readings:
- J2EE Web Services, Richard Monson-Haefel (RMH), only the relevant parts
- Java Web Services Up and Running, Martin Kalin
- SCDJWS 5 Study Notes, Ivan A Krizsan
- SCDJWS 5.0 Study Guide, Mikalai Zaikin
- SCDJWS 5.0 Quiz, Mikalai Zaikin, 108 questions
- website Java Black Belt – Web Services – Basics beta questions:
http://www.blackbeltfactory.com/QuestionnaireDefDisplay.wwa?questPublicId=01525 (not so good, beta questions)
It is important to read also the relevant tutorials of: JAXR, JAXB, JAXP and SAAJ.
My total preparation time for this exam was about 180 hours spread over 6 months.
I followed this SCDJWS forum for more than one year and I learned a lot about from the questions, answers and other experiences.
