Congtratulations ahmed.
It wud be nice if you could share your experience in little more details as very few people have passed this kind of info about this test.
Thanks in advance
Gori
I fully support this. It would be great to have links for these two important certs. Also why only these, why not enterprise connectivity and uml certifications or websphere studio as well.
Dear Jawa,
IPlanet is not in demand as compared to WebLogic/WebSphere. also its not sure of the success of it as compared to others.
hope this helps

hi gagan,
difficult commenting on your question, specially with the arguments by you about those 2 exams. but one thing is important- if VAJ is getting abolished, why go for it.
My opinion.

Dear Paul,
I just want to emphasize on one point, which i've experience while giving any certification exam. I personally feel that more than the certificate, its the Certification Process which is more valuable and worth its effort.
Hope this helps

eric,
to some extent your opinion is correct but if you see j2ee has good potential and mkt is picking up and certification like this (be it on websphere/weblogic) will give u edge among others.
regards
eric
hi all,
Once again i find myself njoying the Certification day : yes, today i passed websphere test with 84%. Its really great feeling.
Thanks to all you people and special thanks to Paul Wheaton for starting these new threads. Also my special thanks to whizlabs team, specially pradeep for their great products and valuable support and guidance during my exam preparation.
My suggestions to all appearing for this exam : Make sure you have hands on experience on the websphere app server, making sure you don't miss any objective as mentioned. regarding books lot of them are available, so many good tutorials on sun's site, ibm's material etc.
Once again thanks to all of you and best of luck to those appearing for this exam. I am moving on to weblogic now as my current project requires me to extensively work on it.
regards
gori
Hey Ranchers,

Both xml and websphere certifications are respsected in the industry. you must also consider uml cert and enterprise connective certs by ibm apart from weblogic certification.
do visit jcert.org for great info about these certs and also dont forget to visit the new forums created at thsi great place about product certifications and other certifications.
hope this helps
gori
To add to your collection:
IBM Test 141 info : http://www-1.ibm.com/certify/tests/info.shtml#141

Also there was another link on the top of this forum, which i dont see now.
it wud be great if someone can move some of the certification threads from other forums liks weblogic and websphere to this place.
i remember the similar effort done by ajith for xml, it was indeed of great help.
thanks

jcert.org gives a great picture of java and related certs.
personally i believe the following to be solid combination:
scjp, scwcd, xml, uml and either of weblogic/websphere certifications.
what do others say?
its great feeling to see this new forum which was badly needed.
thanks to the creators and request to the participants to keep it alive.
Yes, i agree with you.
