Hi,

Could any of you be so kind to help me knowing how to resolve the exception mentioned above. Using the WL 10.3.4 and AXIS2 Code Gen for generating the WSDL, having java code handy using Eclipse 3.5+.

Please let me know if you need any more info.

Here is my code :

A project in eclipse - > Dynamic Web Project

ClientWS.java

right clicking on this class, was trying to generate the WSDL. Selected Axis2 Code Generator ->Generate a WSDL from JavaSource File->Next->AddFolder.
Gave the fully Qualified name of the class : com.antrix.ClimateWS. Added the folder at bin where the class file exists. ->Test Class File Loading.... - Class file loaded Successfully->next->next->gave the File OutPut location->Finish

I see an error like :

Error Occured While Completing Process-java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException.

Many thanks for your help!

Hi,

Can any one be so kind to help me knowing " what happens when a serializable object in java contains other non serializable objects " during serialization.

Also, there are some objects in java API that cannot be serialized like ResourceBundle, servletContext, java.util. Enumeration. If such objects exist in a serilizable user defined class, how can we make this compeltely serializable and how can we serialize the non serializable java API objects.

Many thanks.

Hi,

This is tried already but by some other person some years ago, in an application that is developed some time in the past and the developers are not in touch. Wanted to implement this feature in my application after knowing most of the in and out of this concept as I was not able to grab it from the existing applicaiton. This being a very very vast application.

This is my issue.

Otherwise, this concept is working fine.

As mentioned earlier, I needed to know how it is implemented and what were the configurations mandatory for such an implementation, in case, any of you had got a chance to have already done it earlier, beating round the bush and going on assumptions instead.

[could not reach to much of the oracle documentations ]

Many thanks for your interest and willingness to think over my requests and your helping attitude!

Many thanks Again.

Hi Carol Enderlin,

As mentioned already, my application runs on two clusters, two servers on each in a Domain. The crux here is that my log file name must reflect the name of the server. Eg : MyApplication_server1.log or MyApplication_server2.log. The name of the managed server could be substituted with ${weblogic.Name} in the log file name and My intension is not to change the server name but to configure the name in such a way that I can reach to the appropriate log file at a point of time. I expect it to reflect the server name, which processes the request at a point of time.

So, investigated a little at depth and found a config.xml for a weblogic domain. That contained a tag like

Something like this.

could you please validate if the

<server><name>server1</name>...</server> is used as a value for ${weblogic.Name} in my log4j.properties file.

Hope I am clear.

Many many thanks for your willingness to help!!

Hi Carol Enderlin,

Many thanks for your effort and willingness to help with the limited info. I work with weblogic 9.2 and enoucntered

in the application's log4j.properties file.

Now the scenario is to migrate another application frmo tomcat to weblogic 11g, planning to implement the Logging mechanism.

Hence went back to the application that is already using this and got stuck at {weblogic.Name} parameter as mentioned in the code above.

Could you please help me now as how do i confidure this if it is configurable and where. And interested to know what are the other such parameters. One of it I could find in the link below. Many thanks for that. Need to know as how i can go about it.

Hope this helps!

Many thanks for your help in advance on this.

Hi,

Could any one of you please be so kind to help me knowing the documentation for the weblogic server properties like weblogic.Name, weblogic.Rootdirectory etc. where I can find the significance for the same. Many thanks to you.

Hi,

Could any one be so kind to help me knowing as why the code below gives as compile error as :Type Mismatch cannot convert from List<Integer> to List<String>

My understanding is that, with the assignment

there is only the assignment of references of list1 and list2 and not the contents of the objects in list1 and list2. Meaning, the reference variable list1 points to a String object and the list2 points to an integer object. But list1 and list2 do not contain the reference as a string value and list2 do not contain the reference as integer. implying that these references are some numbers or alphanumeric values and are not dependent on the type of object it points to. So, why it is needed to compare the object type that is contained in list1 and list 2 when it is assigning only the references.

Many thanks for your help!

Hi,

could any one of you be so kind to let me know the reason why I am not seeing the SCJP mock tests page. I am not able to show you the screen shot but i can try putting forth the errors or warnings that I see on this page. Many thanks for your help!.

When I click on the link : http://faq.javaranch.com/java/ScjpMockTests, I see a list of test to be taken. Then I click on the link : http://www.javaranch.com/game.jsp. The list of warnings I see are as follows :

IMPORTANT: To see the correct answers for the questions you missed, you must play three rounds. Then click the button in the applet and you'll be able to step through each question.

WARNING: When running on NT, a known bug can cause the previously chosen radio button to still be highlighted when you move to a new question. Just ignore that and make your choice, if you want to choose the same radio button.

WARNING: If you get all the answers correct, the next round may not appear properly.

WARNING: If you have installed Sun's jdk version 1.3.1 or higher, you will need to disable the option to "Use Java 2 v1.3.1_02 for <applet>

So many Virtual Machines... so little consistency... the joy of applets!

Can you please help me understanding them. Many thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Sridhar,

Many thanks for your response. I am using TOAD to connect to Oracle. Version being used is 10g. Am able to connect thru Toad. I am trying to connect to the DB remotely and am able to login thru toad.
