hi,
if you are seaching for paricularly for the data in XML. its better to go for SAX parser.
why because its event based searching would be faster and it searches for the particular element is present or not in the XML.

Hi,
first of all you need to develop webservice like it may be a stateless session bean or a normal bean,
first of all you need to expose your bean as webservice.
let me tell you in j2EE 1.5 it uses JAX-WS api.
so annotate the class as @webservice and method as @webmethod.
when you deploy your web app as normal web app in any web app server it resolves the annotations and it creates a wsdl file also.

hi,
the DOM parser is suitable one for this.
first of of parse the XML file.
we have a method in DOM API, which it adds exactly before the paticular tag.

bye

Hi,
in struts it both uses the SAX and DOM parsers.
the diff. is SAX is an Event based parser and DOM is tree based parser.
DOM consumes more memory than SAX.
so if you want to read the XML doc. then go for SAX.
if you are doing update delete insert operations on XML then go for DOM.

bye
hi,
you can validate an XML file by using a schema or by DTD against a parser.
you can use DTD. but thing is that there are no much tools available for DTD.

Hi Amit,
There is lot of confusion over the webservices.
what are the webservices?
why we go for this extreme technology.

First of all let me suggest you that
webservices are implemented on SOA technology
so i want you to take a look at SOA
and then go for webservices otherwise you will go mad.
if you know XML that would be great advantage
