Hi Kathy, Bert and Elisabeth!

Your previous book helped me a lot to pass my Java 6 Programmer Certificate!

Now I am planning to take an upgrade exam.
I am curious if you specially dedicate some chapters in the book to upgrade certificate, for example, to upgrade certificate from Java SE 6 and all prior versions?

Hi Kathy, Bert and Elisabeth!

Your previous book helped me a lot to pass my Java 6 Programmer Certificate!

I am very curious about the content of the book and I hope it will help me with the exam also this time.
Hi!

I would advice you to do as many mocks as possible.
To pass the exam I did all Enthuware mocks and one ExamLab. If only I had more time I would also do all ExamLab...
And the most important - go through all the questions to be sure that you really understand the topic they covers.

Good luck!
Thanks!!

There were many questions form the last chapter but they were very easy.

I had about 5 drag and drop questions, but they were not very difficult (except from one which was really strange - about File class) and no questions to fill some text.

Hello All!

I have passed today SCJP with 83% I am so happy! I was so stressed!
I wanted to thank you all for all information I found on javaranch:) It helped me a lot when preparing to the exam!

Some of the questions on the exam took me by surprise. There were almost no question about the Collections or Generics. On the other hand there were many very detailed questions about File class :/ which was not my favourite one and about the Threads.
To prepare to the exam I used K & B book - I read it 3 times - every time I discovered something new:)
For the mocks I used Enthuware, I did all of them with average of 77%. I did also ExamLab, but only one mock because of lack of time (I scored 52%).

I was taking the exam in the Netherlands at Prometric Centrum in Diemon and it was perfect (kind staff, possibility to start earlier, not crowded at all, 3 pens and 30 white pages provided ).

Hope this information help!
