Hello, I would like to get some help on this issue regarding this code line:

<sm:button className="InputStyle" name="modify" value="Modify" onClick="applyChange('<%=Server%>')" userType="<%= TypeOfUser %>" />

Is there some mistake about the inner quotes?

The around context is the following:

................

function applyChange(Server){
document.core.action="applyChange.htm?sigla="+Server;

document.core.submit();
}

................
<body class=body>
<%
Hashtable news=(Hashtable)request.getAttribute("news);
String Server=(String)news.get("Server");
%>
................
<sm:button className="InputStyle" name="modify" value="Modify" onClick="applyChange('<%=Server%>')" userType="<%= TypeOfUser %>" />
</body>

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately I have to reuse this old structured code i'm not allowed to change a lot. I installed the same web application in a different site node,
so that I bumped in the exception we talked above. In the other site instead it worked fine. The only setting i did where about configuration files, not src files.

Hello I put a webapp into a Unix Machine.
Going to the link http://172.20.21.124:8080/webappname/

I encountered the following exception:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /home/X/apache-tomcat-6.0.18/work/Catalina/localhost/X/org/apache/jsp/index_jsp.java (No such file or directory)

I don't have any index_jsp.java and even any reference to it.

The changes I did respect to the windows configuration files were these:

<context-param>
<param-name>APPLICATION_PATH</param-name>
<param-value>E:/Programmi/Tomcat 5.5/webapps/X</param-value>
</context-param>

substituted with

<context-param>
<param-name>APPLICATION_PATH</param-name>
<param-value>/home/X/apache-tomcat-6.0.18/webapps/X</param-value>
</context-param>

Do you see some problems with the path?
I hope in some help

Context: Windows SO

I tried to lanch the command CA.pl -newca in order to create the root CA but it says
c:\OpenSSL\bin>CA.pl -newca
Can't find perl on this system.

I installed a trial version of perl just this morning

Do you know an alternative way to create a CA, by using Openssl command for examle?

Context: Windows SO
I have to put a server on security
I have to create thecerts
I don't know this issue very much, I'm trying to understand how id works
I think I could create a CA ad two certs and in case decoding .pem files in .cert
But these are only my ideas?
Is there something that could explain me the behaving of certs and security, I don't think to have understand it very much

(Someting like what is the common name, what is the trusting)

I tried these instructions:

openssl genrsa -out key.pem 1024
openssl req -new -key key.pem -out req.pem --?(I left default blank values)
openssl x509 -in req.pem -inform PEM -out xawes.cert -outform DER
the last bunded into the exception:

C:\OpenSSL\bin>openssl x509 -in req.pem -inform PEM -out xawes.cert -outform DER
unable to load certificate
6072:error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start line:.\crypto\pem\pem_lib.c:650:Expecting: TRUSTED CERTIFICATE

I don't understand very much, is there something to help me what Am i to do? and the underling behaving?
Thanks and sorry for my bad english

Context:

JAVA_HOME= C:\Programmi\Java\jdk-1.5_16

If i launch the java -version under C:\Programmi\Java\jdk-1.5_16\bin
I have :
C:\Programmi\Java\jdk-1.5_16\bin>java -version
java version "1.5.0_15"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_15-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_15-b04, mixed mode)

With the java -version command launched somewhere I have:
C:\Sonic\testConsegna\BARI\SONIC-BIN\MQ7.5>java -version
CompilerOracle: exclude progress/message/broker/AgentQueueDispatcher$DispatchThr
ead.threadMain
java version "1.6.0_20"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_20-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 16.3-b01, mixed mode, sharing)

Why the result 1.6 if instead in the java_home I have set 1.5?
Thanks Menen

Hello again to all,
I changed the login.jsp page like that
<%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1"%>
<%@taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" prefix="h"%>
<%@taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" prefix="f"%>

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
<title>Insert title here</title>
</head>
<body>

<f:view><h:form>
<f:loadBundle basename="com.tutorial.messages" var="msg"/>
<h:messages></h:messages>
<h:panelGrid border="1" columns="2">
<h:outputText value="#{msg.name}"></h:outputText>
<h:inputText value="#{loginBean.name}"></h:inputText>
<h:outputText value="#{msg.password}"></h:outputText>
<h:inputSecret value="#{loginBean.password}">
<f:validator validatorId="com.tutorial.validatePassword"></f:validator >
</h:inputSecret>

</h:panelGrid>
<h:commandButton value="Login" action="login"></h:commandButton>
</h:form></f:view></body>
</html>

I put validator tag inside inputSecret tag

Now the exception is changed like that:
