Hi,

I want to upload excel file from jsp. I have used all the basic things in jsp file such as
1) form type as post
2) enctype="multipart/form-data"
3) action redirects to servlet.

While reading excel file using jexcel im getting below exception, but same code is working fine when I pass parameter as file(tested using local java class).
From this I conclude, the inputstream is having some problem.
Please shed some light to solve this problem.

Hi jasmi,

welcome to sap world.

There are so many modules in sap, please choose the module accordingly.
I have background in java, so I choose sap netweaver.

how long it does take for changing the mind set?

It depends upon you.

what challenges did you face, How do you feel moving your career? any disappointments?

Initially I felt like fresher, now I feel comfartable in sap.

You told that you have good knowledge in db stuff, so choose module in that area.

All the best.

Hi,

I used numberformat to get two digit decimal. (Note its return type is string)
In database I need to save this value as double.

So I converted string to double. while converting I am getting decimal value as one digit instead of two.
Is there any way to get two digit decimal point in double.

Output:

P.S: I am facing this problem only when the input is of type x.00

Hi Anisha,

Welcome to code ranch.
Do coding inside try block.

executeupdate will return int value.
So replace

Use catch block properly, don't leave it empty.
Just place e.printStackTrace();
inside catch block.

It will print error details. So that you will understand the problem clearly.

And finally, paste coding inside code block.

Sriram.V

Arun,
welcome to java ranch.
As james said dont leave the catch block empty.
Keep e.printStackTrace() in your catch block.
And do let us know the error which you are facing.

James,
I think by default it will commit, if you keep connection.setAutocommit(false) explicitly then you need to do connection.commit() in your code.
