When u include the pointbase classes into the jar file obviously its size will increase.one advantage what I found is we can use SQL Queries to access data which resides in RMS(which is loaded from a pointbase server).Is it the only advantage of pointbase micro or any thing else and which is at the cost of increase in the midlet suite size??? has any one really worked on pointbase with MIDP???

Has any one used Pointbase database along with MIDP? Pointbase is a RDBMS for J2ME/MIDP.I just want to know the advantages of using pointbase in MIDP.

Hi All,
I have a class which extends a List.When I select any element in the List, I want the Text or Background color of that selected element to be changed to some color, other that black(which normally happens). I am using DefaultColorPhone Emulator of J2MEWTK.
Is it possible to set Colors in List as in canvas.Is there any other way out.
Thanks,

Hi,
So it means that preverification is correct.The problem may be in running the midlet.Now run the midlet as
<midp -classpath . HelloMidlet>
if your preverified classes are in the current directory.Hope this works...

First of all, In your path you also need to set for cldc..check it out .It should be
d:\j2me\j2me_cldc\bin;d:\j2me\midp1.0.3fcs\bin;
and classpath should be set to
d:\j2me\midp1.0.3fcs\classes;
If your path settings are correct then try this..
If you have written the preverify command exactly as in your cmd..then I suppose you forgot to include -d option before specifying where to place the preverified classes.i.e.
< preverify -classpath<br /> c:\j2me\midp1.0.3fcs\classes;. -d c:\abc HelloWorld >
The option -classpath c:\j2me\midp-fcs\classes;. specifies where to locate the class files for preverification. This includes the MIDP classes that are needed as part of the verification process (specified by c:\j2me\midp1.0.3fcs\classes) and your class file, which is located in the current directory (specified by ".").
The option -d c:\abc informs the preverifier where to put the verified class files. The "c:\abc" specifies that particular directory.
Now go to the 'abc' directory and run the midlet.

When I am trying to run the example "InfoPrint" in Nokia9210, I am getting the following error..
When I run nmake I get following error:
NMAKE : fatal error U1073: don't know how to make '\Epoc32\Release\WINS\UDEB'
Stop.
I have installed first NokiaCPP and then NokiaJava in the same Drive.What could be the problem.

Basically in epoc we have both C++ and Java versions.i.e I am able to run normal(J2SE) Java application on my epoc device.now, what are the advantages of midlets so that I prefer them over j2se or personal java applications.
If I am using Nokia9210 which supports java, do I need to use only midlets or normal J2SE Java application.If both which is preferable and Why?
finally,What is the uniqueness of MIDP over personal Java or J2SE in mobile devices.
Looking forward...
