I have appear for the exam on saturday. Its wonderful experience for me after taking the exam.
I am a silent reader of this forum and which encourage me to take the exam. Special thanks to Kathy for his last minute tips but it does not help me bcoz i have taken the exam before that.
Any how, Kathy has explained all the points related to the exam. If you really understand each point, you can easily pass the exam.
I had 183 questions and the exam runs for 4 hours. Its really difficult to sit in the exam for 4 hours.
There are lot of bugs in the exam especially in the DND like out of resource. I am not able to use the mouse to go to next/previous question. Its really pathetic to sit and take the exam. I am not able to answer 30 questions bcoz of this. I checked with the prometric testing centers but they told its beta exam and no need to bother abt this. Its makes to wrap up the exam immediately,
Please go thro the EJB 2.0 package what class is responsible for, each element in the deployment descriptor, security roles, each roles like bean provider, application assembler, deployer does, life cycle diagrams for each bean, focus much on passivation/ activation phase (what's happen behind), EJB exceptions like application and system exceptions (reaon for happening), how we can get those exceptions, but lot of questions on EJB-QL (do some practice on these topics how to write the EJB-QL stmts bcoz we need to write EJB_QL using the DND), focus on transactions for each bean.
Finally, I would like to say that please go thro the materials, spec and try to understand the basic concepts (atleast 3 - 6 month exp full time EJB developer) to pass the EXAM without any hurdles. Really the questions are pretty straight forward but it needs some basic fundamentals.
Please talk to me, if you need any further information.
