Hello Ranchers,
I have a degree in cs from an Indian university(2010 passed out,I was supporting my father in our family business for the past 2 years) and i have recently secured an entry level java developer job. I have done several java certifications and I am comfortable with the java platform. Actually i wanted to know that can i relocate to US and apply for a job there, am I eligible to do so and if not should I consider sitting for GRE and obtain MS in CS that specializes in software engineering from a good university(like USC). Would it be advisable to invest my money and 2 years time or should I consider gaining the requisite work experience and wait for the right time and then if I get an onsite work opportunity then I could think of settling down there. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

my queries are regarding the fact that being a candidate with 2 year gap will make it impossible for me to get a job in a big company like tcs,infosys,hcl.. i came to know about small companies which provide training in java, java ee for 2-3 months and promise you a job in such small companies with salaries@10000-15000 p.m.. is there any option for me to get an entry level job or do i need to work in these small companies at such low salaries to gain the much needed work experience of atleast 2 or more year

Hi

I happened to go through the the src zip file , that contains java source code files that are mapped up with each and every class and interface in the documentation.

How can it be rated as a learning resource , how much a help it can be in learning the api and the coding practices , it seems to be the most elaborate coverage of java SE by the experts themselves.

Also does java EE installation has such resources.

Any opinions...
I have a 1.5 year gap in b.tech(cs) completion due to health problems.
I need some advice regarding:-
-Is it true that no big mnc,s consider candidates with gap in education.
-If yes then then how tough will the transition be from a small-scale company to a mnc after the requisite work-exp.
-How much java certifications will help in getting a job.
-Aside from these certifications what are other possible ways to fill in this gap.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted the opinion of you people whether I should join a training institute like niit , aptech n all for j2ee training n certification, or should I attempt to learn these concepts through o,reilly series of j2ee certification books as they have been highly reviewed
,as the quality of trainers at most of these institutes is not upto the mark, plus they charge high fees which is unreasonable.

Please suggest me what should I do.
Thanks
Rajiv
