Hi all,
I am planning to use some good connection pool class in my project. I am interested in pooling capability as well as statement caching capability of the pool. I am thinking of using the pool class provided by oracle thin driver (OracleConnectionCacheImpl.class).

Sample code
------------

OracleConnectionPoolDataSource ocpds = new OracleConnectionPoolDataSource();

ocpds.setURL(dbprop.getProperty("url"));
ocpds.setUser(dbprop.getProperty("user"));
ocpds.setPassword(dbprop.getProperty("password"));
OracleConnectionCacheImpl cache = new OracleConnectionCacheImpl(ocpds);
cache.setMaxLimit(Integer.parseInt(dbprop.getProperty("maxconn")));
cache.setCacheScheme(OracleConnectionCacheImpl.DYNAMIC_SCHEME);
/* Taking connection */
return cache.getConnection();

Will I get statement caching for all the connection created in the pool mentioned above or we need to call the ((OracleConnection)conn).setStmtCacheSize(10) method om each and every connection object of this pool.

Kindly mail me your suggestions.

Thanx and regards,

Prashant Parab
Thanx for your immediate response. I tried that and atleast now i am not getting that error. Now it is throwing the following exception. Can you kindly tell me reason behind this.

Please help
Practically there is no limit. Therotically the limit is the amount of memory space reserved for JAVA programs. The best way to use connect objects is by using connection pool.
The link is nice. Can we increase the performance by using the BIND variables?.
I want to tune my JDBC codes. I need help on what minimum steps i should take to fulfill this requiremnt. For example use of BatchUpdate,etc.
u can edit tomcat.sh or tomcat.bat file located at TOMCAT_HOME/bin/ directory , and append what classpath u want in the existing classpath

Hi all ,
Thanx for posting your reply for my query.I asked this question to my few friends and i got some interesting information .I want to just discuss that idea with u to confirm its practical possiblities..
How we identify the sound?
nothing but the frequency changes of the air.
How can we make Sound?
make changes in the frequency of air using some
instruments or device.
The same way
How can we identify the smell?
molecules will change as the odour is changing .So if we can develop
some device which can catch this changes we can convert it to analog format
and then to digital..

JSP
First tell me are u using a war file.If u r using a war file then u have to put your class file in classes directory.Otherwise atleast take precauion to put your classfile in tomcat classpath by editing either tomcat.bat or tomcat.sh file

JSP
try configuring your tomcat for SSL ,means try to attach a digital certificate to your tomcat server.That speeds up the operation for some unknown reason.

Your start.jsp page should only create the session.In your servlet u should write request.getSession(false) to take the session object.
I think u r making session(true) in some wrong place .check your code

Hi ROb,
I think fundamentally it should be possible to do it using some technique.But according to william that technique is not yet developed.
