hi ranchers,
How can i make the font size of my application even in all OS screen resolutions?.What's the ideal way?.
If i m making GUI for all availeable resolutions,Which layout is preffered?.GridBag itself?..
setSizeForAllResolutions() can be a good utility method.
welcome to all suggestons..

Hi nate,
but i wanna stretch some componets.
Even though i 've tried in all the way. even i tried with setSize() on each component.
I just dont getting the problom.i read all the topics /tutorials availeable on this issue.none of them pointing to the real problom.
There is something unknown in GridBagLayout.The stretching strategy of this layout is not straightforward as documentation says.Dont getting answer from any tutorials/topics.
Either i 've to find the solution or the real problom.

It's for presentation purpose(View in MVC).size does matter,is'nt it?

It does make the difference
JTextField()->empty textfield
JTextField(10)->textfiels with 10 columns(the column width 'll change slightly according to size of font)
JTextField(100)->textfield with 100 columns(mean can hold 100 chars not 100 pixels)

hi ranchers,
i needs a frame with 5 panels.
i m using GridBagLayout as layout manager for my frame
One of my panel uses GridLayout.
One of my panel uses GridBagLayout.
Rest of the panels does'nt need any layuot(default,Flowlayout).
First i added 5 empty panels for correcting the location of each panel.i made a nice skeleton for adding the panels(positioning is over)
then i replaced temporary panels with 'original' panels.but when i add the panel which uses GridLayout,the propotion of frame changed undesirably.The same problom occured when i tried to add my gridbaglayout panel.
do i need to specify setSize() for each panel?.

nowadays movies r really MEANINGLESS DRIVEL.not providing anything but desperate attempt to make something special.go for a movie only if u need some timepass.
imagination of script-writers r so limited.they r not finding anything new and beutiful..
Dont blame writers.They are not getting any topic to write.Humen thinking is now moving towards in an equilibrium condition.They know all and how to adjust with all.so writers could'nt able teach anything to the audience.Or they dont know what to tell to the audience.so they just trying to make entertainment stuff by putting all recipe(commonly availeable) together.
WHERE'S ART??.

hi jon,

it sounds like you are using the old style "blocking" IO streams. Are you using two separate threads for read/write ops?

Defenitely i m using old style.I m not aware of nio package yet.
