Which version of JBoss you are using. NoManaggedConnection is not the error of any database, this is connection pool exception which is managed by Application Server.

I will suggest to use JBoss3.2.6

Dear Friends,
I got the correct sequence,
Whatever the "cn" you are adding add that as an attribute also
It will work
Did anyonw know about OpenLdap.
I am not getting how the values / attributes are added in OpenLdap.
My Server is working and all commands are also working, but for "ldapadd" it is giving problems
ldapadd: update failed: cn=Jennifer J Jensen,dc=example,dc=com
ldap_add: No such object (32)
Can anyone help me in this context:

Dear Andres,
In my JBoss version, there is no file like jboss-webq.xml. I have jms-service.xml, but it is written with <mbean> tags. With the <mbean> tag I am in a position in creating and binding destination i.e. "Queue". But "QueueConnectionFactory" I am in no position to create.
Can anybody throw any light on this.
Thanks.

Dear Friends,
I am facing some problem with JMS configurations with JBoss.
I have written XXX-service.xml. It has mbean for creating the topic. after deployment of this file topic is created successfully, and JNDI name is bound to it as topic/xxxxx.
I don't know how to configure TopicConnectionFactory. Somewhere I have read that, we can use default ConnectionFactory for JNDI lookup. hence I have written a JMS client which is using
JndiCtx.lookup("ConnectionFactory")
But this is not working. It is giving me exception at this line only.
Can anybody please help me out in finding my ConnectionFactory.
Thanks.

Dear Friend,
I am using JBoss with Oracle. For this you have to configure oracle-service.xml file from docs/examples/jca, and deploy this file in deploy directory.
Along with this configure standardjaws.xml and standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml file from conf folder.
For this you can use TypeIV driver. using classes12_o1.zip. This file should be present in server/lib.

Dear Friends,
Prepared statements are like the stored procedure / funtion in the database. They are parsed only once, like funtions / procedures. It executes DML / DDL statements like stored procedure.
While Statements are like other DML / DDL statements of database, which are executed every time you call them.
Stored procedures and Functions in database are executed with Callable Statement.

Dear Friends,
My Architecture requires that I should have a Web Container (Catalina) and Application Container(JBoss). To reduce the trafic across the container I am using the Value Objects.
Now conceptually this is Okay... but now can anybody help me.... where to store the Value Objects and who will manage the object lifecycle

Thanks

Friends, another topic for discussion.
Look I have a environment with Apache as Web Server, JBoss3.0.6 as Application Server and Tomcat 4.1.18 as Web Container.
Now I am quite not getting the flow of the user request.
I guess all the requests will come at Apache, Apache will deligate the request to Tomcat and then tomcat will call Jboss. (As servlet / jsp are the clients for Beans residing in JBoss, and Servlet and JSP are in tomcat sharing same JNDI tree in case of JBoss 3.0.6 + Tomcat 4.1.18).
Is this correct or other way round??
Can anybody throw some light on the darker area..
Regards

Hello Friends,
I am having one query, can anyone help me out??
Look normally jboss (jboss 3.0.6+tomcat 4.1.18) starts at http://<host>:8080/....
This is suited for development environment. Now my production environment asks for port 80 and not 8080.
How to configure JBoss to run at port 80.
Which is the file I need to edit??
Thanks in anticipation.
