Hi Felienne, hope you're doing well.

I have a simple question for you: can this book be useful to change some old mindsets regarding software development?

I mean, I would like to know if reading this book I will be able to help closed-mind people to see more that they are used to when they are coding.

Thank you,

Hi Uncle Bob,

Congrats on your new book. I'm sure it's a rich material, as usual.

My question for you is: Why Clean Agile is not effectively applied in most places? What's the main reason for that?

Many thanks,
Hey Jeanne!

Good to know that I meet the pre-req.

Now is the time to improve my Java skills.

In chapter 1, we write that this shouldn't be your first Java book. So you should pick up an intro to Java book first and then read ours!

The reason is that a cert book is designed to help you pass the exam. Teaching the basics of Java at the same time is too much for one book.

The good news, it can be any version of Java. You can pick up a nice free Java 4 book like "Thinking in Java" to meet that pre-req!

Hey Jeanne! Thanks for your feedback.

Actually, I'm not a newbie in Java, I've already worked with Java same years ago.

And I have the "Thinking in Java" book in the press version. =)
Hi Jeanne Boyarsky & Scott Selikoff!

First of all, congrats on the book!

I have a simple question: an inexperienced Java developer - but with wide experience in software development using Delphi - can get a Java SE 11 Programmer Certification studying through this book?

I really intend to follow this path and challenge myself to become a certified Java developer.

Thanks & Regards,
Hi Jay McGavren! Congrats on your book!

I'd like to know what the main advantages Go has in relation to other languages.

Thanks & Regards,

Great remark, Andrew! And I completely agree with the agile changement. I think we always have a better way to do something. I'm very curious and excited about your book.
Hi Andrew Stellman & Jennifer Greene,

I'd like to know if this book can help me to change an old mentality to adopt the agile in a software development process.

Thanks & Regards,
Hi Michael and Joel!

I'd like to know if studying by this book is enough to develop complex systems using Python. I work with Delphi there's 12 years and I want to learn a new language.

Thanks in advance,

Thank you so much, Mary! Your analysis instigated me to want to read the book and put my hands in the dough.
I hope to win a copy!

Yes, I think our book is excellent for people who have no JavaScript experience. It's written from that premise - the first section presumes no previous knowledge of JavaScript, and presents the basics that you need to know. The second section does the same for jQuery, and the final section builds on the first two sections. That, in addition to code examples that are as real-world as we can make them, lots of hands-on exercises, and lots of code examples in the book download, make this book a great one for beginners - in my humble opinion, that is... :)

Actually, I plan to work with web development soon, but right now I'm Delphi developer.

Congrats on the book!

Thank you so much, Khalid. This subject is amazing and I'm very excited to know about it. Definitely I need this book. Of course I wanna be a programmer certified too. ;-)
Hi Khalid and Rolf!

Firstly, congratulations on the book. I'm sure It will be of great help for everyone, including me.

My question is: Which is the main points of functional-style programming covered on this book? I'm curious about that.

Best regards,
Thank you, Chris.

I've the goal to get the OCJP asap and your book can help me a lot.

Hi folks!

I imagine that this book can help me to improve my coding, 'cause my knowledge with Java is not so strong yet. This is possible?

So, this concepts covered in the book can be applicable in another programming language like C# for example?

Thanks and congratulations by your great work!
