Hi,

The Enhuware mock exams were harder, but not much. The Enthuware exams really did a good job of pointing out the areas you need to study more. Don't take the actual exam unless you're already comfortable passing the mock exams. Good luck on your preparation.

Regards,
Mac
Thank you all for clarifying. Makes sense now.

I read in K&B6 that instance members are accessible only after the super constructor runs.

I stumbled upon the following code:

and it prints:

My question would be:

If instance members are accessible only after the super constructor runs, then why is it that upon execution of the printIt( ) method of class Parent, (which in fact is Child's printIt( ) due to polymorphism), it was able to access the uninitialized instance variable i of Child even though the constructor of Parent has not yet finished executing?

Confused here. What am I missing?

Hi, try Enthuware. It's one of the best (if not the best) there is.
Hi Mala,

I see. I just hope all the questions I'll answer wrong in the exam happens to be unscored. :p I was just bothered that they might add a significant amount of unscored questions (on top of the 90 questions) that I have to worry about the time.

But as you guys imply, it's really not an issue.

Thanks again!

Hi all, I'm planning to take the OCAJP Java 7 exam this end of August. As you guys advised, I'm going through K&B6 and bought a full version of Enthuware for IZ0-803.

Anyway, I went through Oracle's site and found this policy:

"Scored and Unscored Questions - Your exam may contain unscored questions in addition to the scored questions, so the total number of questions that are presented to you may be greater than the number shown above. This is standard testing practice. You will not know which questions are unscored. If your exam contains unscored questions, the time allowed for the exam takes into consideration the time you will need to answer all questions and review your work. Your exam results will reflect your performance on the scored questions only."

Is this applicable for OCAJP Java 7? Any confirmation from those who already took the exam?

Thanks!,
Mac
