Hi All,

My project structure is as follows:

Now another java code (custome-develop.jar) is being used and this code is packaged as jar and put inside the lib folder with all the references. Now from my 'src' folder I am able to access code in that jar file. But that custome-develop.jar needs to access the config files to under resource folder to do processing (resource folder contains property files for queuemanager name, queuename etc.).

Could anybody tell me how to access the resource folder to get the property file.

I used below code but in that custome-develop.jar but did not worked:

this 'pin' is null object.

I am using JBoss 7.1 and Java6 and doing admin console deployment!

Please help me regarding this.

Thanks,

I have similer problem,

I am using VMware Player 7.1. I have setup a Ubuntu Virtual Machine using VMWare Player. I have kept the Network adapter as Bridge. My Physical system is running on Windows 7. I am using WIFI Router to connect Internet. I am able to access internet from both of my physical and Virtual systems. Now the IP addresses varies whenever I am connecting Internet. I am also able to access Ubuntu to Windows and Windows to Ubuntu system via IP addresses.

Now I want to use Hostname rather IP addresses, so that I need not to change addresses everytime I reboot. Can anybody help me regarding this. Please let me know if you need any further information.

Hello All,

I am using Eclise Kepler and jboss-5.1.0.GA with JRE1.6 in Windows system for my application development. Now while I am starting my Server From Eclipse it is giving me the error "ERROR: invalid console appender config detected, console stream is looping".
I already checked in net and found that I have to change the run.bat file to put "set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% "-Dorg.jboss.logging.Log4jService.catchSystemOut=false" location JBOSS_HOME/bin) in it.

I tried with same also but not working as probably when I am starting my server from Eclipse it is not referring this file( because I renamed this file and started my server from eclipse and it is starting).

I checked in Net and the issue is because of multiple Console Appender declared in the Application (one from JBOSS and other from my application) so it is creating problem.

Can any one help me how to resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Hi All,

We are facing some unusual errors in RAD.
In window->Preferences ->Java->Installed JREs we have mentioned all the Jar files from the RAD JDK (location: C:\Program Files\IBM\SDP\jdk - RAD install in C:\Program Files\IBM location).
Now in Java Project's JRE System Library some of the Jars from before mentioned Installed JRE location are missing. There is no change in the classpath of this project. Below is the screenshot for better clarification:
I am attaching the screenshot for that.
Refer Project.JPG -> for Project Jar dependencies
Refer RAD Installed JRE.JPG -> for Installed JRE. Some of the Jars which are present here and not in above are marked in Red:

I have changed the classpath of java project to add the missing Jars and after that it is working fine. But do you have any idea to overcome the issue without change in the classpath locally for a project.

Thanks in Advance!

Hi Bill,

Thanks for looking into it.
To answer your question:
1. First there is a search page, where user will select the criteria. Based on this criteria data will be selected from database.
This is an internal application of a company, where the manager can log into the system and search for some employees. Search criteria are:Name, Role, Skill Set etc. Now if user select Skill Set as search criteria it may select multiple employee and result can be more than 100.
The access will be given to all managers and in fully running condition at a time more than 5000-10000 user can use this.

Let me know if you need any further info.

Hi everybody,

In my web application, the architechture is:
JSP(view) ->servlet-> Business Class (to implement the business logic which in turns call DB to get the data).
Same way reply back to a new JSP to show the result.
Now, we have to show result in table in some JSP with 100 records at a time and there are 2 buttons next and back. So when user click on the next it will show next 100 records on the page. There are huge records in the DB. So what we plan is to fetch 1000 records from DB at a time and keep it in List object in Business class and send 100 records from this list to JSP to show. Then when next request come to show next 100 records for same user same session it will give next 100 records from the list and so on.
My question is how to maintain this list through out the session in back end. Now as this list is huge so we can not put it in session object to make client side heavy.

Any suggestion!!
Thanks in advance!!

I have some doubts regarding preparedstatement.
1. Who will do the pre compilation for this kind of statement.
2. below is some code snippet:
PreparedStatement ps=conn.preparedStatement("insert into tableA values(?,?)");
ps.setString(1,"a");
ps.setString(2,"b");
ps.executeUpdate();
ps.close;
/*
some java code
*/
PreparedStatement ps1=conn.preparedStatement("insert into tableA values(?,?)");
ps1.setString(1,"a");
ps1.setString(2,"b");
ps1.executeUpdate();
ps1.close;

Now as both ps and ps1 contain the same SQL query so is there any compilation for ps1?
3. if we call close() method of preparedStatement then will that precompile statement also wipeout from Database.

Please clarify and also thanks in advance!!
