Yes, we have sprint retrospective every end of the sprint but I haven’t voiced it out yet due to we are just two here on the same country. He is nice though but it is as if his knowledge is entry level. BTW, he always has videocall mate while working.

Then, the on-shore team leader assigns to me more story points than him. For example, I got 15 story points of tasks than him only 4 (for those 4, he still have too many questions to me that I consider it basic due to it can be easily googled or we encounter the same issues from the previous sprint, or just ask the BA)

Hi guys,

I have a co team member that does not perform well. We are both team leader level but consider as individual contribor under the same project and module. On his profile, he said that he has 5 years of Java experience. But he has poor logical, communication, reading and writing skills. Our methodology is sprint agile (2weeks apart) and was assigned the task by on shore team. But we already have 4 sprints and he always involves me in his task. He always ask question, be it technically or business side (which I always say ask those to BA). For technical side, he still have problems deploying microservice and always stuck with the same problem and always asks me. Then he can’t finish a story except if the story is about adding additional field and save in the DB. If the story is about creating new functions, or modifying the logic of existing system, he can’t do it.

I remember we had a sprint where all his work were rewritten by our on-shore team leader. He always asks to the point where it’s more efficient if I will write the code than to explain it very detailed. Then if I explained it, he won’t listen or will always forgot what I said if he encounter it on next sprint.

As for troubleshooting, if he ask me then I answer, he can’t make it work then if I will do it on his laptop. It will work.

Then he also has problem with listening, speaking and writing in English. Our onshore team’s native language is English and we are both Filipino. Most of the time I dictate in english what he will ask to BA or to our coubterpart dev.

I’m bugged because it is as if I’m ‘doing’ his story. We’re working at the same office and the rest in other country.  I dont know how to deal with it.

Hi,

I've took OCAJP 7 and passed 6 years ago... now I am starting to be interested on taking the next level certification.. What exam code is next?

Can I take OCPJP 8?

TIA
Thank you for your message, since the processed values can only be 2 values, I created a subquery containing only those 2 values

Thank you for your suggestion. However I found a different approach for this one. I will now mark this as resolved.

The reason I am asking this is because we have an app that processes the batch. Initially, all records have Processed values = 'N'. When the application runs, it scans BatchId per batchId, row per row. After the method is done for that row, it updates Processed='Y'. However, when it encounters an error, the app stops.

Therefore, I need to create a report which last batchId should I continue to resume my app running.
Hi, Thank you very much for your follow up response.

Are you referring to this code:

But it does not return 3. It returns 1 instead
Hi Stephan,

I need to select the MIN batchId where it does not contain any 'Y' in it. In other words all 'N' in that batchId
Sorry, my question is

"How can I return the first batchId with no 'Y' in it?" In my given table, I need to return batchId = 3 since all 5 records under batchId = 3 has 'N' Processed value
Hi guys, I would like to ask for your help with regards to selecting the necessary records in the DB using MySQL. I have a batch that is executing. Each batch has batchId (integer) and contains many records (no definite count of records per batch). There is a column in the table 'Processed' and it's value is either 'Y' or 'N'. I would like to select the last batchId value that contains at least one 'Y' processed. How can I return batchId = 3 for this example:

given the table:

BatchIdProcessed?
1Y
1Y
1Y
1N
2N
2Y
3N
3N
3N
3N
3N
4N
4N

Hi guys, I have a working web app on my local laptop and want it to transfer to azure. I have a file appender that writes in a file and stores it on my local computer. My logging is completely working when I deploy it on my local tomcat.

However, I can't see the log file when I successfully publish it in azure.
Here is my log4j.properties file:

Can someone please tell me where is the log file can be found in azure?

Hi, the reason why i am asking this is because i created an account on a website (not my own website) and i already logged in on my laptop. The user will remote access my laptop and use the website's dashboard as if i am the one accessing it. I do not want him to access some pages on that website (such as change password or email). It is not possible to create an account for his own as it needs to be my account.

Any way to do this?

I dont want him to copy my web app and open my source codes. I just want him to use my web app just like browsing the internet

Yes, my purpose is to prevent the user to copy my web app that i created since it is deployed on my local computer and he will be accessing my laptop. I just want him to use my web app pages.

So final answer is impossible as long as he cant access the tomcat manager? If that so then my next question is there any way for the user to edit the user config of tomcat server? How can i prevent it?
