Try if this works for u....
<script>
win=""
function openBrWindow(winName,features) {
if(win){
win.focus();
}
else{
win = window.open(winName,features);
}
</script>
Hope it does!!
Hi Vrunda,
You could probably try this out--
1) Put the child table in the bottom frame within 'div' tag with "visibility:hidden"
2) Have an 'onclick - showChild()' function in the 'td' tag of the parent table

3)This function showChild()will change the visibility of the bottom frame child table to "show"
Should work :-) All the best
Anita :-)
Hi,
A possible soln to your problem using regular Expressions --
function getSOP(form){
str = form.str.value
var regexpr =/[^A-Za-z0-9]/;
result= regexpr.test(str)
alert(result)
}
U could try calling this code where variable 'str' contains the string to be checked for Ascii characters. It will return/alert TRUE is the string does contain one/more Ascii character(s).
All the best :-)
I am sorry ...my reply is meant for the topic-"parent-child windows stuff"
I am sorry ..i accidently posted a reply in Form Value topic
Hi Raja,
Adding a target="_blank" attribute to the Form element should allow u to open the submitted results in a child window.
Swati,
Just paste this code at the top of your new window page ....
<script>
function handler(){
if(event.button == 2){
alert("No viewing the source code;-)")
return false;
}
}
document.onmouseup = handler
</script>
This should server the purpose
:-)
Hi to all Javascript experts :-),
Is there any way we can capture not stop the Paste functionality using the Mouse rightClick+Paste?
I am able to capture the paste functionality if done using keyboard.
Thanks
Hi Nijeesh,
Try this ....
<script>
function checkEnter(event){
if(event.keyCode==13){
return false;
}
}
</script>
<form>
<input type=text onKeyPress='return checkEnter(event)'>
<input type=submit>
</form>
Now the form wil not submit if the user hits on Enter key.....He will have to hit on Submit key to submit the form.
Hi Mahesh,
Though this comes late -- you could try this code .....
<script>
function onlyNumeric(){
if( (event.srcElement.type == "text") && isNaN(event.srcElement.value) )
{
alert("Enter a numeric value")
str = event.srcElement.value
truncatedValue = str.substring(0,str.length-1)

if(isNaN(truncatedValue)==false)
event.srcElement.value =truncatedValue
else
event.srcElement.value =""
}
}
document.onkeyup = onlyNumeric ;
</script>
This code will make sure every text box in the page allows only numeric values.
All the best....
