I am bit confused about the shifting especiallty when I see that the number be shifter is bigger.
I read some where if the right hand siide operand is greater then 31 then we will take its mod by 32( for int).
But if it is less then 32 like in this case then we will take here 32%29?
will this be equivalent to 10>>>3.
or 10>>>29 will be 0
can somebody how i can use ApacheModuleJServ.dll with IIS, if i can do so at all.
pls help.

Is it possible to get PWS to serve JSP files. If so, how?

On Win 95 and Win 98, you have to change an environment variable. The
problem is often caused by the long classpath variables commonly used in
java programs. Add the following line to your CONFIG.SYS file and then
reboot your machine:
SHELL=c:\command.com c:\ /e:2048 /p
BTW, the /e:2048 indicates the number of bytes to allocate for
environment space. If 2048 isn't enough, try /e:4096 or even higher.
This should fix your problem of Out of environmental space

but then
isnt it easier to code in asp?
doesnt msdn have a wealth info on asp than what sun has on jsp?
is there any way to run java iis. (AFAIK there is nothing)?
where do u turn for support when jsp fails?
is there a a good book on jsp(like thinking in java)?
we have only some tutorials in gamelan, javaboutique, jdc, etc., is there a site where v can get an in-depth analysis of jsp and how to use in windows/unix environment?
we all know java is a bit slower than any other language. (my opinion and not based on any test results).
i am not trying to argue here. the above are just my concerns. i am learning c++ now. i realise now how easy it is to learn and use java. only that i am not able to get around to start using jsp as i dont seem to get the starting point.

i understand that one cannot expect sun to solve all the problems reported in the forums. but there are a few fundamental problems like the classpath related issues, which deserve sun's attention.the problem that the above url is talking about (it relates to something as simple/ basic as starting the j2ee server) appears to be random. there are so many porgrammers who have reported this obstacle.
problems sucg as this should, in my humble opinion, get some expert's attention. this would help a lot of people get o with their JAVA.
absence of a solution is frustrating (when u install/ deinstall java std ed and j2ee several times) when u r trying to evaluate the j2ee-based solution.

hi,
from one ur msgs i understand that i have been learning ejb. i want to know if u r using reference implementation from sun. if so, could u get the j2ee.bat file to work? (this is assuming that u r using NT machine)?
can u help?
hi,
thanks for the reply.
i installed the package and also downloaded a tutorial on J2EE.
when i try to start the J2EE server by executing the j2ee bat i get the following error:
