Hi Peer,

Thank you for the response.
To be more clear about the requirement:

Platform: Weblogic9.1
Type: WSDL first

we are going for wsdlc,jwsc,jws tasks to generate the war file.

When we run wsdlc task, Java files are generated from the types mentioned in WSDL file. These Java objects are plain JavaBeans with get and set methods. My requirement is that these JavaObjects should be XMLObjects, generated using XMLBeans.

This task can be done by using Weblogic Workshop.
Workshop provides us the flexibility to choose XMLBean task to generated Java objects.

Because of dependency I cant go for Workshop.
I am looking for a solution using ant script for doing this task.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi friends,

I am trying to write a WSDL which supports XMLBeans Objects as input and send ouput.
Can any one provide me a sample which deals with this kind of requirement.

Hi friends,

Can any one provide some comparisons on different open source cache frameworks available (Complying with JSR107 specs).
Which one is preferable among JBoss Cache, OSCache, JCS etc.,

The intention of the Singleton is ..mainly reading of properties and instantiation of some constants.
Yes I am worried about the Synchronization at high Loads.

Hi Jeff,

I have some constant code to go in the instantiation block, reading some of the properties etc., and I followed the Singleton pattern as it is practise in my current work place. I am not having enough documentation to support why I have declared methods as non-static. Will declaration of methods non-static result in erroneous implementation at high loads of incoming requests.

I would be glad if we could find any documentation related.

Hi Folks,

I am stuck to make a decision of using non-static vs static methods in a singleton class.

I have a DAO which is a singleton class, I have some insert methods in this DAO which are non static. Each method contains respective logic of creation of Connection and calling of a respective insert stored-proc on the Database end and closing of the connection after successful/failure of insertion.

What would be my take of declaring these methods static?
Will declaring these methods static would improve on the performance end?

I have done Load testing on this DAO and everything works fine.

Awaiting for reply,

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Layne,

Thank you for the advice,
I have not posted my whole code previously. I am following all conventions u have listed out.
I am posting my code down here..
The requirement is
When ever we get an exception or not while closing a Statement, It should not stop us from closing a Connection.

I am following the below steps of closing my database resources. Please correct me if I am wrong in doing so..

Thanks and Regards,
Keerthi
Hi Friends,

I need help in resolving the best practice of handling exceptions in the given scenario,

Connection conn;
CallableStatement stmt;
ResultSet rs = null;
try {
// Code calling database to execute a StroedProc that results a ResultSet
//Exception while accessing ResultSet
} catch (SQLException) {
//handlingException
} finally {
try {
rs.close();
} catch(Exception) {
String msg = "Exception while closing ResultSet";
throw new UDException(msg);
} finally {
try {
stmt.close();
}catch(Exception) {
String msg = "Exception while closing Statement";
throw new UDException(msg);
} finally {
try {
conn.close();
} catch(Exception) {
String msg = "Exception while closing Connection";
throw new UDException(msg);
}
}
}

Is this right way of closing ResultSet, Statement and Connection. I need to throw user defined exception with specific message.

Thanks in advance,
Keerthi
Gopi,

It is not necessary to mention errorCode, it all depends on the way u have configured ur fault message in wsdl.
I tried with the below sample wsdl which does not have any errorCode element in the Fault, it works fine for me. Even errorCode element is present u can pass a null for that.

<types>
<xs:schema targetNamespace="http://ibtco.com/webservices/cobol/facts" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:types="http://ibtco.com/webservices/cobol/facts" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<xs:complexType name="GeneralFaultType">
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element name="faultSeverity" type="xs:string"/>
<xs:element name="faultDesc" type="xs:string"/>
</xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:schema>
</types>
<message name="GeneralFaultMsg">
<part name="fault" type="tns:GeneralFaultType"/>
</message>

Thanks

You can try out using MIME type in your WSDL, if byte[] is permissible to your requirement, and if AXIS permits. I have used MIME with Weblogic8.1sp2 to get back a document in byte[] from WebService.

Sample code:

<wsdl:input>
<mime:multipartRelated>
<mime art>
<soap:body parts="inputMetaData" use="literal"/>
</mime art>
<mime art>
<mime:content part="reportContent" type="application/octet-stream"/>
</mime art>
</mime:multipartRelated>
</wsdl:input>

Avi,
Yes i checked with the jar provided by Oracle. We have a class called OracleXMLQuery which will convert the resultset into xml format. But I want this task to be generic not particular to any database.
Thanks for the reply,

Hello Friends,
I am looking out for some parser which converts the resultset obtained from querying a table stored into an XML format.
Thank you

hi,
In the editingStopped() method, just make a call DefaultCellEditor as
dce.getCellEditorValue() which will return us the value of that particular cell which is modified
hope this solves ur requirement

hi,
I think for ur requirement setCaretPosition(0) will solve the problem , capture the Enter Key event and explicitly setCaretPosition(0)
Hope this solves ur problem
