Hey Ranchers,
Today I have cleared the exam with 86%. The Exam
was good.
I feel that SCWCD tests more on your "memory" (i.e how well you remember syntax,api etc. etc. rather than concepts (Just my opinion).
I have taken 45 days for my preparation and spent one hour per day on an average. I have read More Servlets and Jsp,Servlet Programming,Alex Notes(for revision),ofcourse Servlet and Jsp Specifications.
I have tried all the mock exams listed in javaranch and for the final mock test i tried JwebPlus.My last score in Jwebplus was 86% which
turned out to be my real score later.
My Tips :-
1) Try the mock exams once you finish reading all the topics, so that it will really help you to identify your weak and strong areas and also you can correct yourself during the second round of
revision or whatsoever.
2) Sleep well before the exam
My Thanks:-
My special thanks to Alex(For this Notes),Ravish kumar(for his notes on web.xml) and all the JavaRanchers who just kept me going.
Thanks to all.
With Regards
Prathap kumar.

Hey,
You need not review the SCJP contents.
Just go ahead with SCWCD Syllabus, that's
enough.
Best of luck.

Friends,
Here goes the easy way to remember all the tag
element of web.xml.
Actually this was contributed by one of the ranchers.. I forgot his/her name...

For Web.xml element order( ignore punctuations)
I Dare Devil Drive. Cop Finds Follows. Listen Siren Stop. Sees My Window. E.T, Road Runner,Shrek? Laughs. Says, Entertainment Entities Etc.
I =<icon>
Dare =<display-name>
Devil =<description>
Drive=<distributable>
Cop=<context-param>
Finds=<filter>
Follows=<filter-mapping>
Listen=<listener>
Siren=<servlet>
Stop=<servlet-mapping>
Sees=<session-config>
My=<mime-mapping>
Window=<welcome-file-list>
E=<error-page>
T=<taglib>
Road=<resource-env-ref>
Runner=<resource-ref>
Shrek=<security-constrainst>
Laughs=<login-config>
Says=<security-role>
Entertainment=<env-entry>
Entities=<ejb-ref>
Etc=<ejb-local-ref>
Remember there are 23 words = 23 elements. The word listen and <listener> aligns.
Must be Around 7,000 to 8,000 Rupees
(Any way Checkup)
Well don pramila That is a good score.

Can any one let me know the difference between
Business Delegate and Session Facade.
As per my knowledge, i feel that both are meant
for the Abstraction of Business Services to the
Client.
Can any one throw some light on these topics.
Thanks.
Congrats karun
Well Done.
Hey Rowan,
Dont Fear, You can do it.
Go thro the Exam notes prepared by ranchers
who have already taken their exams.
Concentrate on Taglibs,Deployment Descriptors,APIs.
If Time Permits Do a fast reading on Jsp and Servlet Basics.
If you will defnitely clear the exams.After the exams do let me know your experience bcoz i am also going to take the exams soon...
