About having a JTextField that only accpets 1-9...
Every JTextField has a method
protected void processKeyEvent () { .. }
Now in order to have a text field that only accepts 0 through 9 you NEED to subclass JTextField in the following manner:
class CustomJTextField extends JTextField {
public void processKeyEvent (KeyEvent e) {
if (Character.isDigit(e.getKeyChar()))
super.processKeyEvent(e);
}
}
when you create a CustomJTextField and add it to a container, it only alows 0 though 9 or whatever you wish... You can change the condition...
I hope this answers one of the questions
oh yea and I forgot... This site's got some good resources so thank you guys

I don't know what the deal is with getting 80% on all the mock exams and waiting until afterwards to take the exam...
I took about 12 mock exams, and it helps... Especially jqplus exam (i used the trial)... Some of the questions were exactly the same... word for word, method for method... I don't know what's up with that.
I used "Sun certified for Java 2" by Syngress and it useless. Stay away from it... I went to my local barnes and noble and quickly went over Exam cram and Complete guide, without buying them... A good way to save 80 bux...
Anyhow if you can walk and chew gum at the same time, you should have all the mental skills you need for the exam... It was much easier than exepcted
