In our project we are using JAI 1.1.3 but only using 2 jar files nothing else.

jai_codec.jar
jai_core.jar

Now JAI is no longer supported so trying to find  out alternative for JAI and found that JAI-ext is good choice ...but when I downloaded the jar files for this JAI-EXT I see same jar files there also.

I am confused...If JAI is no longer supported then

1. Can I use existing jar files in my project? if not then not sure why same jar files are included in JAI-EXT project as well?
2. What's the alternative for these 2 jar files?

I have also same question. is it applicable for part-2 and part-3 1Z0-865 as well? In retried exam list I don't find part-2 number. I only find part-1 number 1Z0-864.

I do agree with Jeanee, Oracle exams do tell you how many answer choices are correct.

I passed part-1 yesterday with 65%. Though this score is not great but I am Happy,at least I passed this exam.
I studied for 3 months, 1.5 to 2 hrs/day plus some extra hrs on Sat/Sunday.

I must admit this exam is very tough. Most of the questions (85-90%) were lengthy and I failed to understand 2-3 questions.

I used Whizlab mock exams. I liked it but it is not enough to pass the exam. I would suggest to explore others mock exams too. Also Try some following exams too.

I have used same notes/books which already described in this forum.

Now after taking (1 week ) break, I want to start for part-2. I don't have any past design experience and I am weak in UML too. So first I want to prepare for UML then plan to download assignment.

Any suggestions what is the good way to start for UML?

Thanks a lot Jeanne for reply. The book I am talking about is Allen and Bambara where those patterns are not covered either in scenario and solution but yes those patterns are included in Cade/Sheil. When I looked into Core J2EE Pattern Catalog then I saw the patterns I indicated label as NEW.
I think that's why the links I was talking about couldn't locate them (may be those are old links)

I read in Allen and Bambara's book that "Part 1 of the certification exam requires that you know the GOF Design patterns only" but I think in actual syllabus J2EE patterns are included. So can you please let me know for part-1 how much J2EE patterns are important? what's the weightage for J2EE patterns?
Also I saw , in J2EE patterns following patterns are not covered in that book or also in the most of the pattern links on internate following patterns are not included. so even if J2EE patterns are included for part-1 can I skip following patterns?

1.Context Object
2.Application Controller
3.Application Service
4.Business Object
5.Domain Store
6.Web Service Broker

Yes I called up directly and talked to concern person. You need to do some bargain on that given amount. So that amount totally depends up on you.

Please go ahead and purchase voucher from itcertify4less.com site. That site is definitely reliable. In the about us link you will get email id and phone number.
I just purchased voucher @$170 but that deal is depends up on the availability of vouchers. But I can say you will get less that $10-20 than showed price.

I also tried to contact with Prometric local (in US) but they don't know about vouchers.
So if those persons do not know about vouchers then there is not point to purchase vouchers online even if I get it at cheaper rate. So sunny, my question is can I register for exam and take the date online directly if I have voucher?

Thanks Anh website looks good and seems to be Vouchers are in cheaper rate and it also says that SUN Voucher is allowed to take all type of SUN Exams. This will cover 100%. The voucher is valid in Worldwide.
