Hello all, I am trying to get the J2EE server running and running into a few problems

I have installed the SUN-JDK and SUN-JRE(1.5.0.11) and the J2EE platform(1.3.1-r3)

my Environment variables are as follows

PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/opt/bin:/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-bin/4.1.1:/opt/sun-jdk-1.5.0.11/bin:/opt/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.11/bin:/mirror/oracle/product/10.2.0.1/bin:/opt/sun-j2ee-1.3.1/bin
CLASSPATH=.:/mirror/oracle/product/10.2.0.1/jdbc/lib/classes12.zip:/opt/sun-j2ee-1.3.1/lib/j2ee.jar:/opt/sun-j2ee-1.3.1/lib/locale
J2EE_HOME=/opt/sun-j2ee-1.3.1
JAVA_HOME=/etc/java-config-2/current-system-vm

when I try and start the j2ee server(j2ee -verbose) I get the following exception

J2EE server listen port: 1050
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/corba/se/internal/util/IdentityHashtable

Has any run into this problem, or managed to get this working?

Thanks

Hello All,

I am having an issue with package organization.

I have the following directory sturcture

App ---
srcdir ---
testing.java(main is here)
connections ---
connectionFactory.java
core---
customer.java

I am trying to use cnnectionFactory in customer and customer in testing

I have the following import statements

in customer

import connections.ConnectionFactory

in testing

import core.customers

why I try to compile everything I get the following errors

src/core/setTopBox.java:5: package connections does not exist
import connections.ConnectionFactory;
^
1 error
src/testing.java:2: package core does not exist
import core.*;

I must have this set up wrong but I am not sure how. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks

Hi, I am in serious need of some career advice, and I hope posting this will get me some. I was laid-off a little over 5 months ago, and have had zero luck finding a new job. It seams that I submit resumes to a black hole never to be seen or heard from again. I have a BS in Computer science, about a years worth of solid experience(mostly VB, ASP, and PHP, but some Java) and I am taking the SCJP exam today. The Town I currently live in is pretty small college town , but I have been applying for jobs in most of the major metroplitan areas of the US. with no luck. I am thinking I should just move to one of these cites, but I am hesitiant to just pick a city and move thier without any prospects. I am really having a hard time figuring out what to do next, so any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks All
