In my instruction file, there is a statement as following
The remote client code that you write must provide all the public methods of the suncertify.db.Data class.
My question is if the lock/unlock method should be provided in remote client ? It seems no meaning to do this. It should control under RMI server instead of client.

How can I register this exam ?

with the requirement that you must have a client-side object that implements all the public methods in Data.

What does it mean ??
just like implements a DataImpl class extends DataInterface that have all the public methods in Data class ?

Is it possible to use Regular Expression in JDK1.4 for searching ?

Tks for reply, but Data class in my assignemtn doesn't provide such a method to return DataInfo[] object.

Could I modify the method definition of Data class that provide in original ? like

public synchronized DataInfo find (String query) --> public synchronized List find (String query)
or define antoher method to do so .
