Hmmm,

Any way, the new bean ( String object will be created if one is not available.. but with which value it will be initialized?, empty string ("") or null?
Hi,

You can go for SCWCD as servlets & JSPs are the widely used java technologies & currently has good market.
Hi,

Problem is with the RequestDispatcher. you are trying to forward a request after getting PrintWriter reference. retry by commenting out the PrintWriter statement

Hi,

Even i got confused on this answer. I think the option should be "Attributes bound into a session are available to any other servlet that belongs to the same ServletContext(assume those servlets participate in session.)
Hi,

It has been said that "A request cannot be forwarded if some response has been already written into the output stream OR out.flush() is called "
But my doubt is unless the stream is closed (ie, out.close()) the object holding the stream ( ie, response) can be forwarded right??
out.flush() just flushes out the contents of the buffer but doesnt closes the stream :roll:
Hi pradeep
I am still unclear on the concept of getting reference to the SFSB. How the reference could be maintained for a bean (which could be possibly pooled/passivated by the container).

Hi
I would like to have a clear explanation for How & where the Stateful EJB maintains the sesssion for the particular client. ie( in subsequent requests how the bean corectly identifies that the incoming request is for that bean.). I saw in some websites & many of the sites says that the session is maintained through the instance variables present in the bean & some are saying that an object reference will be passes back &forth b/w cilent & EJB
Pls explain me in detail

Hi
we are sending mails to some users using Java Mail Api. The problem is when the SMTP server is down or conjested, the Transport.send infinitely waits & so the program
Pls suggest some options. I tried useing
props.put("mail.smtp.host", hostid);
props.put("mail.smtp.port", smtpPort);
props.put("mail.smtp.connectiontimeout","600000");//timeout 10 mins
ie Time out for waiting but having doubt whether after timeout, the mail will be sent/qued or not

Thanks man.
I am also finding what to do when we need to go for next batch? that is, setFetchSize will help to get first batch of results. But how to go further when user wants to get next batch of results where we should not include previous results. Please tell me if you come across with a solution.
Thanks
Can anyone post some very simple code???
Hi
Suppose a query fetches some 20000 records from DB & the client displays the results just 10 records per page, How big is the resultset. In ASP we have a provision for fetching the results page by page to reduce the overhead on the server. Do we have anything in JDBC to send results page/page
by the above reply do u mean in sendRedirect the request object wont be available to the processor(ie servlet/JSp)???
ie the attributes set in the req wont be available???
