Anyone know of a way to check multiple check boxes that have the same name (as in: name="checked[]") with HTTPUnit. Each checkbox stores it's value in the checked[] array.
HTTPUnit seems to fire a java.lang.IllegalArgumentException when using toggle checkbox.
Any ideas?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me the best way to implement a help screen from a pulldown help menu.
ie. Info -> Help
Clicking Help would then bring up the help screen.
Thanks!!

Hi,
Is there a way to limit the number of characters that a user can enter into a JTextField. For example... If 3 JtextField exist in a GUI, one for the day, one for the month and one for the year (just for example), the day field should never have more than 2 characters entered.
I guess what I'm trying to ask is, is there a way to stop user input into a text field once the max number of characters are entered?
Thanks

Hi,
I'm using SWING to make GUIs ect... But I'm not sure how to go about validating the data that is entered in the text fields before I insert the values into the database that I've set up.
Can anyone give me any guidance or advice?
Validation of String (ie. if the max number of characters is 50) Stuff like that.
Thanks! And Happy Holidays!

Thanks for all you help... The database is an MS-Access. So the previous post makes sence... except that the UPDATE doesn't exceed the limitations mentioned. I'll post my code to see if anyone knows or can spot anything wrong.
final public boolean addReport(Report aReport)
{
try
{
String add_rep = "INSERT INTO Report_Table (Day, Month, Year, Area, Type," +
" Method, Comments, Gas, Materials, RockSamples," +
" StreamSamples, SoilSamples, Tony, Peter, Pat, Karl) " +
"VALUES (" +
aReport.getDay() + ", " +
aReport.getMonth() + ", " +
aReport.getYear() + ", '" +
aReport.getArea() + "', '" +
aReport.getType() + "', '" +
aReport.getMethod() + "', '" +
aReport.getComments() + "', " +
aReport.getGas() + ", '" +
aReport.getMaterials() + "', " +
aReport.getNumRockSamples() + ", " +
aReport.getNumStreamSamples() + ", " +
aReport.getNumSoilSamples() + ", " +
aReport.getTonyValue() + ", " +
aReport.getPeterValue() + ", " +
aReport.getPatValue() + ", " +
aReport.getKarlValue() + ")";
System.out.println(add_rep);
stmt.executeUpdate(add_rep);
}
catch (SQLException e)
{
System.out.println( "Error " + e );
return false;
}
return true;
}
Thanks again for your help!
Hi,
Anyone know what this error means, and how to fix it?
Error java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Query is too complex.

Does it mean that the query can only be a certain size? I'm kinda new to this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
