Name the ways to accomplish pass by reference using EJB?
Hi,

We have application based on Struts1.1 on Websphere 5.0.2.6. When Thai characters are inputed, they are converted to their respective unicode representation (&#numbers and stored in the DB. I don't know how this conversion happens, it happens only when the <CODE><META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=TIS-620"> </CODE> is used. When the data is retrieved and shown in the UI, it is shown in the Unicode format and not in the Thai character format.

After investigating I found at that the struts TextTag is trying to filter/convert this (since it contains &#). Since it is not able to find the conversion for this, it is displayed as it is. In the bean:write tag we have an attribute called filter which when set to false, turns off this process. Unfortunately we do not have such attribute in the html:text tag. I am using the ELTextTag.

It would be highly helpful if I get the source code for the strutsel package that came along with the struts1.1 package. If anybody has anyother that would be useful for me, it will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

We have an application running in Websphere 5.2 and it is Thai specific. I am able to give the inputs in Thai, but on retrieval they were displayed as Junk, but on changing changing the encoding to Thai (Windows)in my browser I can see the correct thai characters. I have to do this for each retrieval. Please tell me what I should do to fix this.

The workload is being shared by two websphere 5.2.0.6 servers and they crash very often and the entries in logs are:

javax.naming.NamingException: Error during resolve. Root exception is org.omg.CORBA.NO_IMPLEMENT: minor code: 49421040 completed: No

What is the reason for it and where can I look for the meanings of the minor codes given in the exceptions

Hi,

I have a form which has the date feild to be validated

<CODE>
<form name="formname">
.
.
<form-field property="dob" depends="date,dateRange">
<msg name="dateRange" key="errors.field.range3" />
</form>

</form>

I like to give different error message for failure in date and dateRange failure. We have a custom validator where we have implemented the validateDate and validateDateRange methods. There we get the error message Resources.getActionError(request,va, field)); I like to know how to get different messages.

Hi,

I like to know whether Webspher 4 and 5 can be installed in a single machine, though only one will be running at any instant.
